I too am interested in towing a Manual trans XB 4 wheels down. Any information

The 2009 Scion xB with a manual transmission is indeed flat-towable. I checked in your owner's manual and when setting up the vehicle for this they say to put the selector lever in neutral and turn the engine switch to the “ACC” position. In order to equip the vehicle for flat towing you will need quite a few parts which I have attached for you below if you are interested:
