Can the Viking Solutions JackRack Magnum Hoist Adjust to a Lower Height?

Question:
I have a Chevy SUV with a tailgate door that is hinged at the top and lifts up. Can the upper part of the hoist be mounted lower on the vertical tube so that it will fit under the door when rotated 180 degrees to the load inside?

I have a solution for you, but the Viking Solutions Rack Jack # 310-VMH001 hoist is secured via bolt on to the lower tube and there are no additional mounting holes on that lower tube it without voiding any warranty or compromising the integrity of the construction. If the height/length of the jack is the main concern, I recommend going with the Viking Solutions SwiveLift Loading System for 2" Hitches # 310-VSL001 . This lift is 55" tall compared to the 81"+ of the Rack Jack and has an easy to use, swivel loading tray that will allow you to lift heavy items directly into your Chevy SUV.
