Does the Computer have to be Reset to Install a Curt Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2012 GMC Terrain

i have heard you have to have the computer reset after you hook up the new wiring harness. is this true?

I went over the installation instructions and you will not have to have the computer reset when you install the Curt wiring harness, # 56094, on your 2012 GMC Terrain. If you are apprehensive about it, you could always disconnect the negative battery cable prior to installing the harness. You will use any programmed information, like stereo presets, but that is easy enough to reset.
