Comparing the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit BX1140 and BX1143 for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk

Question:
I just returned a bx 1140 that weighed 51 pounds and received the bx 1143 that weighs 38 pounds what is the difference that accounts for 13 pounds ?

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1143 which replaced the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part BX1140 is lighter because there is less material. The update was made to clear sensors that were added to the 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk therefore they needed to make the arms physically smaller which means they are also lighter.
