Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this 12 Contact Truck and Trailer Connector Junction Box. Now, this junction box is gonna be perfect for anyone who needs more than just a basic trailer plug set up. This is going to be ideal for trailer builders or custom trailer owners who have lots of circuits, such as lights, brakes, ramps, power lines, and so on, and maybe you're looking for a neat, centralized place to manage your wiring. This is also great for people upgrading or repairing trailer wiring who are tired of corroded splices or disorganized connections, and heavy duty truck and trailer operators who run tandem axles or extra electrical accessories that go beyond just a simple four or seven way connector.
So if you have a basic single axle trailer with only a few lights and brakes, this box might be a little bit of overkill for you. But for complex setups, this is gonna be a big improvement in both function and organization. The biggest advantages are cleaner wiring, easier troubleshooting, and better protection. Each circuit's gonna get its own terminal and when something goes wrong, it's gonna be very easy to find it and fix it quickly. So you're gonna get everything that you see here, all this hardware.
This is going to arrive to you with all of this in a little bag inside of this, and then this will be closed, and then these two screws are going to seal that lid shut. So overall, it's gonna be a pretty simple installation. (hand taps) This is made of durable plastic, so obviously, it's going to hold up really well against the elements. It's going to keep everything inside dry and clean. And I did not take any measurements before our time together.
Let's see if I can give you some quick ones here. So measuring, I'm gonna be going end to end here where this mounts. This is gonna be about 8 3/8 inches long end to end. Looking at on center, that might be a little bit trickier on the mounting holes. It looks like we're sitting pretty close to right about 7 3/8 inches on center on those mounting holes.
And then looking at the thickness, I'm gonna say about 2 1/4 inches. And let's call this the height, right at about 4 1/4 inches. So hopefully, those measurements will help you.
