Turn a hot, sticky RV into a place you actually want to relax. This Chill Cube AC cools non-ducted spaces and uses a heat pump to take the edge off mild, chilly mornings. The variable speed compressor helps reduce constant cycling.
In a non-ducted RV, cooled air does not travel through ceiling ductwork before reaching the cabin. It comes straight down through the ceiling assembly, so airflow at the unit matters. This Furrion Chill Cube gives you 18,000 Btu of cooling capacity and 340 CFM of airflow to help bring cabin temperatures down in the area where the AC is mounted.
A traditional AC often cools hard, shuts off, then starts again once the cabin warms back up. That can leave your RV bouncing between too warm and too cold, especially during long cooling stretches. The variable-speed compressor adjusts output as conditions change, helping the system stay closer to the temperature you want instead of constantly cycling on and off. Because it does not have to repeatedly restart at full force, it also runs noticeably quieter than many traditional RV ACs, making it less distracting during TV time, conversation, or sleep.
Cool mornings and shoulder-season trips do not always call for firing up a furnace. This unit has a built-in 17,000 Btu heat pump that can provide electric warmth without using propane. In cooling mode, the system moves heat out of the RV. In heat pump mode, it reverses that process and pulls available heat from the outside air into the coach. It is useful for mild, cooler conditions, but it is not meant to replace your main furnace in cold weather.
Humid air can make an RV feel sticky and heavy, even after the temperature starts to drop. While it cools, this unit removes up to 1.8 pints of moisture per hour, helping reduce that damp, clammy feeling on your skin and making the cabin feel less muggy. That extra moisture removal helps the space feel more comfortable on humid camping days when cold air alone is not enough.
You are not always plugged into a full-power campsite when the RV starts heating up. This Chill Cube is 2,000W generator or inverter ready, giving you more flexibility for campgrounds, travel stops, and off-grid setups when paired with the right power source. Battery saver modes also help manage power use when you are trying to stretch your available energy. This unit runs on 115V, 60Hz power, with 1,480 watts of cooling power consumption, 15.8 amps of cooling current draw, and 11.9 amps of heating current draw. Those numbers give you something concrete to compare against your RV electrical system, generator, inverter, or campsite power before installation.
This is the rooftop AC unit only, so it needs compatible Furrion R32 interior components to complete the installation. That may include the correct air distribution box, thermostat, and controls for your ducted or non-ducted layout. Because R32 systems are not backward compatible with Furrion AC systems from 2024 and earlier, confirm your interior components before swapping the unit in. If you're looking for a complete AC system, check out Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Non- Ducted - 18K Btu - White - R32 or Furrion Variable Speed Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - Non-Ducted - 18K Btu - Black- R32.
Replacing a non-ducted rooftop AC means lifting the unit onto the RV, sealing the roof opening, and connecting it to the correct air distribution box and controls. Matching the rooftop unit to the right R32 Furrion components helps avoid fitment issues, but installation is still a job where the right help can make a difference. This AC unit requires a compatible Furrion R32 non-ducted air distribution box and controls, sold separately, to complete installation.
This system is not backward compatible with Furrion AC systems from 2024 and earlier.
R32 refrigerant meets 2025 EPA regulations.

Hi Michael, I’m sorry to hear the Furrion Chill Cube hasn’t been keeping your trailer comfortable. An 18K unit should be performing better in a trailer that size, so I’d like to rule out an airflow or installation issue before assuming the AC itself is defective. After letting it run for about 15–20 minutes, can you check the temperature of the air going into the return and the air coming directly out of the vent? I’d also check that the divider between the return and cold-air sides is installed correctly and completely sealed. If you find any gaps, you can use the LaSalle Bristol Aluminum HVAC Tape # UT83MR to seal them and keep the cold air from getting pulled right back into the return. Send me those two temperature readings and we can narrow down what’s going on.
Do you have a question about this RV Air Conditioner?
Condition: Badly Dinged
Notes: Item has a minor cosmetic ding on the back grill.
