Heavy-Duty Towing Champions: 16,000 lbs Capacity

For those who tow hefty loads, this Class V XD hitch is your heavy-duty hero. With an impressive 16,000 lbs gross trailer weight capacity and a tongue weight capacity of 2,400 lbs, it’s built to handle the toughest towing jobs. Whether it's for a boat, camper, or massive equipment, tow with confidence knowing this hitch is as strong as they come.

Weather-Resistant Durability: Powder Coated Steel

Rust? Corrosion? No worries here. The hitch's black powder coat finish over a robust protective base coat ensures superior rust resistance, making it perfect for any weather conditions and providing long-lasting durability. This sturdy, square-tube design is built to withstand the elements while maintaining its strength over time.

Seamless Swaps and Upgrades: Reuses Existing Frame Holes

Upgrading from a weaker hitch has never been easier with a design that utilizes existing frame holes from factory hitches. You won’t need to remove your spare tire for installation, a feature that simplifies the process for do-it-yourself enthusiasts. Swiftly swap out your old hitch and experience the sturdiness of an upgrade designed with ease in mind.

Uncompromising Build Quality: Robust 3/8” Thick Steel

Crafted from stout 3/8” thick steel with precise, robotic welds, this hitch is a tank in terms of build quality. The substantial material thickness and meticulous construction ensure that the hitch not only withstands heavy loads but also boasts impressive longevity—outlasting many of its OEM competitors.

Perfect Solution for Rusted OEM Hitches: Bumper-independent Fit

Old, rusty hitch starting to worry you? This hitch is designed to attach directly to the frame without relying on the bumper, making it ideal for replacing rust-compromised OEM hitches. With this independence from the bumper, you can still tow confidently even if your bumper has seen better days.

2014 GMC Sierra 1500

Great build, it does mount differently than stock so if you are replacing your stock one it actually easier to install. My only issue with it is the back holes on my truck were larger holes and the washers the hitch comes with are not great quality metal. I chose to put some flat stock across the top of the frame for more support.

by:

Excellent quality and easy installation. It took me longer to get the old hitch off than it did to put the new one on. I highly recommend your products. Well engineered and quality built

by:
2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Hitch is very heavy duty but seemed to have been delivered by Ace Ventura. Was very scratched up. Hitch bolted right up on a 2007 GMC 1500 HD. The height of the hitch exactly matched the original. Spare tire does not need to be removed. Per the instructions, you are supposed to re-use the existing aft most frame bolts. Be aware that if you use those, they only engage the weld nut by 3/16 of an inch. That is short of fully maximizing the weld nut. Ideally, the bolt threads should go all the way thru the weld nut plus about 2 threads. I replaced those aft bolts with longer ones that fully engage the weld nut. Since the new hitch does not attach to the bumper, I fabbed a custom Z bracket, using 2 pieces of angle iron, to help carry the load. The light plug assy needed to also be modified. The factory angle is 90 degrees, but the wire harness would bot engage the plug assy. I modified the plug bracket as can be seen in the photos.

Product is alright. As stated in other reviews, the cut outs for the safety chain hooks are poorly designed.

The trailer hitch is great simple installation but I had to change hooks on my chain from my trailer other than that top notch

@Dan That's a pretty sweet ride!

by:

Website said it would fit perfectly for my 2004 Chevy 2500HD. It did not. I had no option to return as I needed to tow the following day so had to work into the night to customize it which therefore I wouldn’t be able to return. I had to use a torch to cut a section out of both sides on the hitch to have it fit around the spring shackle and had to use the torch to make a new bolt hole in the frame closest to the front for that bolt hole. Also drops the receiver an inch lower than the factory height. Was not at all happy but was thankful I had the tools to make it work. Worst thing I hate is that it’s dropped lower than the stock receiver height.

I am sorry to hear that this hitch did not fit your application. I see that this hitch is not a confirmed fit for any of the Chevy HDs. This is only a confirmed fit for the Chevy 2500LD and 1500.

2013 Chevrolet Silverado

This hitch is a solid unit! Much more sturdy and beefy than the factory OEM version. Needed this to safely support some heavier tongue weight that worked within my Rear Axle Weight Rating without needing a Weight Distribution Hitch.

by:
2012 GMC Sierra

Great price, quick shipping even with the pandemic going on. Had a little trouble installing this heavy duty hitch by myself but went on very easy with no issues.
I have not pulled anything yet, but don't expect any issues with this 16k rating on a 1/2 ton truck.

The hitch is solid. Tow my 18 deck trailer and 16 dump trailer with no worries. Very nice product.

by:
2005 GMC Sierra

This is a heavy duty 2" receiver trailer hitch (C1523). The 3/8" steel it is made of is the way to go. Aside from the capacity of the hitch one really great features is that the safety chain hook holes are large enough for 3/8" clevis slip hooks. Most hitches don't seem to have holes that are too small.

by:
Ford

I had purchased a 2006 gmc savanna Thomas short bus and needed a hitch for it. The frame was not a normal savanna width. Searching the etrailer site I found drawings of a hitch I believed would work. I needed to enlarge 2 holes to 5/8inch, clean up 2 1/2 inch holes, and drill 2. 1/2 inch holes. In the end I spent more time running to store to get a needed drill bit. The hitch was installed in less then an hour. This was my 2nd hitch from etrailer the last one went on a Ford e350. Had it on in 20 minutes with my sons help. Both hitches purchased were over kill but the xtra capacity is nothing but piece of mind.

by:

Direct bolt on. No problems.

by:

Does the job. Pretty easy to install, other than somewhat heavy (needed a spare set of hands). Had to drop down spare tire to get the hitch up. Even then, spare tire is still touching hitch (tight fit).

by:
2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body

Bought this hitch receiver to replace the old rusted out factory hitch receiver. Bolted right up with no need to drop the spare tire. The differences between this hitch receiver and the factory one are night and day. This thing is solid. My truck will pull apart before this receiver hitch fails. Way overkill for my needs, but I will never worry about a receiver hitch failure!

by:
2001 GMC Sierra

This hitch is great, and easy to install. Very happy with this USA made product.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Very happy with this. Truly bolt on installation without having to modify anything. Definitely seems much stronger than the factory hitch. Its pretty heavy and awkward to do by yourself but its manageable. It took me roughly 20 minutes from start to finish. I no longer have to worry about my hitch while towing.

by:
2011 GMC Sierra

Excellent hitch, arrived fast and installation was quick. I have 2011 gmc sierra did not have to remove the spare tire.

by:
2008 Chevrolet Silverado

The hitch fit perfect. I did it by myself. The hitch is very strong, I think my truck will give out before the hitch will!

by:
2009 GMC Sierra

Easy to install, fit perfectly and clear instructions

by:

A HUGE improvement over the stock hitch. Much stronger & more solid. Have had it for a year now & love it. Definitely recommend for anyone towing car hauler, skid steer, dump trailer or any trailer over 5000 pounds for that matter

by:

Was very easy to install and much sturdier than my factory hitch.

by:

everything is perfect, does what it needs to do, couldn't ask for anything better

by:

Wonderful!!! Easy to install!

by:
2013 GMC Sierra

Was a great fit on my 2013 gmc sierra, no need to take down spare tire!

This is a no drill installation for your vehicle, but will require you to permanently remove your existing factory hitch to install. I will add in a install video for you...
