Off-grid camping gets frustrating when appliances and electronics need more than battery power. This fixed-mount 4,700 - 5,500W generator uses inverter output, so RV loads and sensitive devices keep running.
You pull into a campsite without hookups, but the RV still has appliances, chargers, and electronics to run. This fixed-mount generator supplies 4,700 - 5,500 watts, 43.3 amps, and 119-125 volts of onboard power. Your RV can keep running from an installed power source while you stay parked where you want to camp.
Charging a laptop or running a TV gets risky when generator power has too much distortion. Built-in inverter output delivers clean electricity with low harmonic distortion for sensitive electronics. Your devices stay plugged in and usable while the generator handles the RV load.
Bad weather, early mornings, or a dead start system can make generator startup a pain. Electric start, remote start capability, and backup recoil start give you more than one way to get power going. Start it from the RV controls or fall back on the recoil start and keep the trip moving.
Some onboard generators constantly rev up and down, making it hard to relax outside or even hold a conversation nearby. This generator uses inverter technology and a softer sound profile to keep noise levels more controlled as power demand changes. That means you can run the A/C, charge devices, or watch TV without the generator becoming the loudest part of camp. It also makes late nights, early mornings, and crowded campgrounds a lot less stressful for you and the people parked nearby.
After weekend trips and off-season runs, it's easy to forget how many hours the generator has actually worked. The digital hour meter records run time, and included oil funnel, spark plug toolkit, and screwdriver support maintenance. Check the meter, handle the service, and get back to powering the next trip.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at the Flex Power Onboard RV Generator, 5,500-watts of dual fuel and inverter capacity. This is gonna be a fixed, permanent mount. So folks, whether you're replacing or upgrading, this, again, is gonna give you 5,500-watts of inverter power. It's gonna be clean, stable electricity, help you run everything between air conditioners, microwaves, and those sensitive electronics like laptops and TVs as well.
Now you can run this on both gas or liquid propane and it measures 30 inches long, 13-and-a-half inches tall and 20 inches deep or wide depending on how you're looking at it. Now this weighs 161 pounds outta the box, so make sure you have a friend helping you. If you don't wanna install it, no problems. We have an Installer Locator link below and you can simply enter information such as your zip code and based on where you're located, we can help find you and pair you up with trusted etrailer installers in your area. Now before I take off the cover, I do wanna mention a few things from the top here.
So you have a funnel, that's gonna be for filling up your fluids. You have this tool here, which is gonna be for, I believe, spark plugs, looks like. It's got the gas handle for the spark plug. And then of, course, you got the screwdriver with a Phillips and flathead that you can flip over depending on which one you need to use. So that's gonna be the toolkit that comes with this kit.
I'm gonna go ahead and put that in its pouch. It has a button and I'm gonna go ahead and set that outta the way here. And then I do wanna do a quick spin around on the turntable before I take the top off so you can see the unit with the cover on everything as well. Before I do that, you can always flip these two front levers up and reach the inside panel that way. And, of course, this is where you're gonna be as far as checking your oil.
You've got your meter here for run hours and stuff I believe. And then you have your 30-amp breakers here and you have the two reset and gas primer buttons, on/off switch. So this is gonna be your main access panel and this whole case is a hard plastic construction and then it's got the vent here to help direct airflow and stuff. So again, this will just go right back in place like that and then you would simply spin these back down and that's how that holds in place. So again, I do wanna spin it around. One of the standout features like I just mentioned is that is dual fuel compatible. So you can run it either on gasoline or propane. You can see the exhaust and the intake fans there and the flexibility of the fuel means that you can, you know, not have to worry about it when you're on the road. So gasoline's gonna give you maximum output. Protein's gonna give a little less output, but a lot cleaner and smoother operation and quieter operation. And here is your main electrical collection, your propane and your gas all here on the front side here or on the side. Then you get your ground and your positive hookup, nuts and bolts there. And of course the main electrical wire here as well. And I'm just kind of holding that out the way 'cause it gets in the way. And I do want to go ahead and pop off the cover now so we can take a look at the inside when we go more in depth about it. And I did have to remove two Phillip size or Phillip head, longer size bolts, or screws rather off the front, bear with me here. And this is made to only come off during maintenance, so bear with me while I get in here and get this open real quick. I loosened it before our time here, but the tolerances they give you on this, which is a good thing, keeps it nice and tight on the unit itself. I always like to show the inside. That way, you kind of see more of what you're getting and see it better. So I do wanna come back here with the lid. You've got foam insulation all the way around it and heat installation on this one side here and with the white, that's gonna help keep the heat down. And then that black foam insulation is going to double as sound installation more than anything. Okay, so now we got the top off. You can see the engine, you can see the muffler and everything over here on this side. So this does feature electronic fuel injection or EFI and that's gonna improve fuel efficiency. It's gonna reduce the maintenance compared to the carbureated systems that are out there on the market. And it's also gonna help ensure reliable starts every time, especially in those different conditions that are out there whenever you're boondocking or just traveling in general. Now, unlike traditional generators, the 5500E, this includes that integrated inverter we talked about at the beginning, that produces low harmonic distortion power and around 3%. So it's gonna make it safe, again, for those modern electronics, whether it's laptops, televisions, those kind of things that are sensitive to nice clean electric is what they want, they want that clean electric. You're also gonna get smart technology with remote start capability so you can fire the generator right from inside your RV along with built-in safety features like automatic shutdown and temperature protection if it we inchesre ever to get too hot or anything like that. And again, it's compact, it's lightweight, so it's been engineered as a direct replacement for many, many different install generators that are out there on the market. This should fit into those standard compartments with ease and in some cases, give you more room afterwards as well. So again, folks, whether you're boondocking, traveling cross country, or just want reliable backup power, the RVMP Flex Power here is a great option. Again, quiet, efficient, flexible power wherever you need it. Well folks, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look together at this replacement Flex Power Onboard RV Generator. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
