How to Pick Out Replacement Trailer Axle for Harbor Freight Trailer
Updated 06/11/2019 | Published 06/10/2019 >
Question:
I am looking for replacement bearings and potentially replacement hubs. I read on your web site that E trailer can make a recommendation for a replacement axle that would work on a harbor freight trailer. I have the 4X8 folder trailer that is rated for 1700 pounds. What would an axle and 2 hubs cost?

Expert Reply:
Harbor Freight trailers don't use standard trailer axles so replacing the hubs gets challenging so replacing the axles would be the way to go. I'd need the distance between the spring centers of your current axle as well as the distance from hub face to hub face and I'd be able to pick out the correct axle for your application.
You'll also need the bolt pattern of the wheels you have to pick out which I attached a help article on determining.
I also attached a link to a page that has all of the axles we carry.
