Which Bike Frame Adapter Bar Can be Used on 50 lb Bike

One of the answers suggested that the capacity of the Thule #TH982XT was 50 pounds. In the information regarding that bar it is listed with a 35 pound capacity. Is there a different recommendation? It looks like the Malone unit has a 50# capacity and the Swagman Deluxe has a capacity of “1 bike”. The bike that I am purchasing weighs 50# Any suggestions?

The weight capacity for the Thule bike frame adapter bar part # TH982XT that you referenced is now 35 lbs. It may have been different at one point but currently Thule states it's 35 lbs. The best option you have will be the 50 lb Malone bike adapter part # MPG2165 since your bike is 50 lbs.
