Features to know about

Add Towing Capability for Small Trailers and Cargo: Class I 1-1/4" Hitch Receiver

This Class I hitch gives your vehicle a sturdy 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening rated for 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight. It’s ideal for light-duty towing like small campers, utility trailers, or gear haulers. The strong, square-tube design keeps things stable when pulling a load or driving with a hitch-mounted accessory such as a cargo carrier or bike rack.

Install It Yourself Without the Hassle: Bolt-On Design, No Welding Needed

The hitch uses pre-existing attachment points for a true bolt-on setup—no welding required. Everything you need for installation comes in the box, including a complete hardware kit and instructions. With basic tools and a little patience, most do-it-yourselfers can get it mounted in the driveway without special equipment.

Keep It Looking Good for the Long Haul: Gloss Black Powder Coat Over Protective Base

Built from fully welded steel and finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer, this hitch resists rust and corrosion even after years of exposure to road grime and weather. The smooth finish gives it a clean look that blends in under the rear bumper instead of standing out.

Ready for Weekend Adventures: Works with Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers

Once installed, the receiver opens up plenty of options for carrying your gear. Attach a bike rack for weekend rides or mount a cargo basket to haul extra luggage on road trips. It’s an easy way to add extra utility without crowding your trunk or back seat.

I gave three stars because the package was open when it arrived. Otherwise would have been five stars.

Everything great Instruction were a little off, On WRX you have to remove muffles, (not lower them). not a big deal . the wire drag lines for bolts very smart.

by:

Nice looking hitch. On time delivery with tracking number and live location.

by:

Very good service and quick delivery!

Really simple install. Ensure you have a stepbit to enlarge some of the hole before starting. The instructions are outdated, you can avoid the 5th exhaust hanger by the rear differential and hanging/supporting it all if you just take off the mufflers.

Hey Tim. Install looks great. Sorry about the instructions, I'll make sure that at least the one on our website is updated.

My box did arrive with some damage and some small scratches from shipping but on a part of the hitch you will never see. Disappointed there was no video for 22+ WRX but watching several other Subaru install videos on etrailer helped me prep for install. I dropped both mufflers for easy access and also took 2 heat shields off. You need to dremel out an access hole larger to fish hardware through frame rail. Also heat shields need a hole drilled for hardware to pass through. Overall not a bad install. Prefer this to having to take entire rear of car apart for other hitches. Fit is very custom. You will see the hitch but it's tight to car. I would recommend it.

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2025 Subaru WRX Limited
Hey Javier. I have a hitch for your 2025 Subaru WRX Limited, however no one makes a hitch that has the receiver sticking out the 3rd brake light cutout. There is a hitch that does that but it's for the earlier models of the WRX not the current generation you have, which started in 2022. To add a hitch to your 2025 Subaru WRX Limited, I recommend the Curt item # C84ZV. This is a custom fit, class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver, that has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity, and a 200 lbs maximum...

  • Is The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84ZV A Fit For A 2022 Subaru WRX
Hey Vin, The instructions for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84ZV show an Impreza, which has the same frame as the WRX and shares many of the same components. Curt Lists this hitch as a fit for 2022 - 2024 Subaru WRX's. It's super common with some Hyundai and Kia vehicles to both use the same hitch so it's not uncommon for a certain hitch to fit multiple vehicles. Worst case scenario if it doesn't fit since we state it is a fit you can just return it.

  • Ball Mount For Curt Trailer Hitch With 2023 Subaru WRX
Hey Edgar, For the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84ZV that fits your 2023 Subaru WRX, the ball mount/drawbar Curt recommends is the 2-5/8" Rise/3-1/4" Drop Curt Drawbar # C45521. Just keep in mind this drawbar doesn't come with a pin and clip or hitch ball, so you'll need to get that separately. For the pin and clip use # F-4, or instead you can secure it with Hitch Lock # e98879. For a hitch ball, depending on your trailer coupler you'll need either 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # C40001 or 2"...

  • Trailer Hitch, Wiring and Ball Mount for 2024 Subaru WRX
Hey Bernard, yes the Curt hitch part # C84ZV is correct for your 2024 Subaru WRX and would be a great option for a small trailer. Then for trailer wiring the Curt # C56ZV is the correct fit and the ball mount part # e47DR would be a great option as well.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2027 Subaru WRX
Hey Kyle, yes we have the Curt hitch part # C84ZV that is a confirmed fit for your 2027 Subaru WRX which is a 1-1/4 inch hitch. Are you planning on doing some towing or carrying a bike rack?

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2022 Subaru WRX
Hey Judson, thanks for stopping by! Unfortunately the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7257 is not going to fit your 2022 Subaru WRX. Instead, you'd need to use a different hitch like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84ZV. This hitch is a class I hitch so it's not as robust as the EcoHitch, unfortunately, but depending on what you have planned it still could work fine! Let me know below what you have planned and I'd be happy to see if we can get you all worked out!

  • Does Curt Trailer Hitch For 2022 Subaru WRX Come Out Under the Bumper or Through Bumper Cut Out
Good question, and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84ZV that fits your 2022 Subaru WRX will come out underneath the bumper and not through a bumper cut out. Curt doesn't have a great photo of this installed, so I added a cut out below from the instructions which show the # C84ZV being put on a WRX which shows that it goes under the bumper.

  • Is there a 2 Inch Hitch for a 2024 Subaru WRX?
Yes, there is! It is the Draw-Tite item # 76271. This hitch is custom fit for the 2024 Subaru WRX and bolts to it with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 525 lbs maximum tongue weight. If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56ZV and a ball mount kit item # C45534.

  • Fits For Trailer Hitch on 2022+ Subaru WRX & 2015-2021 Subaru WRX
Hello Nathan, Yes, the fits have been tested and verified with the manufacturer, Curt, which I just double-checked for you. The correct trailer hitch for the 2022+ Subaru WRX is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84ZV. The fit for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX is part # C11408.

  • Is There Exact Amount of Enlargement Needed for Access Hole on Subaru WRX For Curt Hitch
So there isn't an exact amount of material needed to be removed when enlarging the access hole on your Subaru WRX when installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84ZV. You'll use a die grinder for this and you'll just enlarge it until you can get the 1/2" fasteners through. Typically this isn't much, about 1/4" or so, but they don't give an exact amount because that is very, very difficult to quantify when doing the install.
