Question:
According to specs, #36065 has the rise 5 that meets my needs but the 10inch length seem excessive for my standard 1 1/4inch Toyota hitch. Is there a better ball mount for the above vehicle?

Expert Reply:
For a Class I or II trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch, you must use the ball mount that is recommended by the trailer hitch manufacturer. The reason is that the hitch has been tested with a specific ball mount and it is deemed to be the safest and best option for that vehicle and hitch combination.
The only 1-1/4 inch hitch we carry for your 2005 Toyota Sienna is # C12065. The correct ball mount for this hitch is # C45016, and it must be used in the rise position only. It has a rise of 2-5/8 inches.
