Question:
I believe I have the Curt A16 w/slider. It is too tall even in the lowest position. Purchased on dealers rec having a 64inch box. Rather than raise my trailer pin box up to the highest point to lower the front of the trailer and raise the rear of the trailer I believe the kit #16920 will help me. I do have 7.5 inch to 8.5, light side, of clearance between truck rail and trailer. With the fixed legs I believe/hope I will still have enough clearance. I have had for 12 yrs a HUSKY 16KS that I only slid twice but I do not turn that sharp. The HUSKY was at its lowest setting, trailer was nose heavy. Raised up the truck hitch one hole and both axle weights were close rather than 1,000 heavy on front and still towed level. I went from an 06 Dodge 2500HD 4x2 to a Ram 3500 4x4. The tailend is now 4-5inch higher. I just sent the order in. Hope I am right. Trying to send two pictures. New Curt and old HUSKY. HUSKY is raised up from lowest position but now different truck. Thanks to all who brains storm on this.

The Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider # C16521 that you believe you have can be adjusted from 17-1/2" - 21-1/2" in regards to height. If you were to swap out the R16 Slider for the Replacement Base Legs # C16920 then this would give you the Curt A16 # C16120 which has a height adjustment of 13" - 17".
Typically we do recommend using a sliding 5th wheel hitch for short beds like what you rave on your 2014 Ram 350, but if you don't believe you are going to need the sliding feature there isn't a law saying you have to use a sliding 5th wheel hitch. You will just be making contact with your cab if you end up not having enough clearance on a turn.
It is important to keep your trailer level. I am attaching a photo that also shows some other important clearance measurements you can make sure you adjust everything properly.

Can you purchase the hardware kit for the replacement legs for an A16 hitch, specifically the bolts that go in the legs? I dont need the pins or clips. The replacement leg assembly is a C16920. How much would the four bolts cost?
