Basically, these are going to replace the pin and clips that secure your Curt fifth wheel trailer hitch or your Curt gooseneck adapter plate to the rails mounted inside your pickup truck to make sure that your fifth wheel or gooseneck is going to remain in place, and you're not going to have to worry about losing your trailer as you're going down the road.So, these are very important to your setup. These are going to work with your general Curt six wheeled trailer hitch and gooseneck adapters, but they're also going to work with your more specialty items like your X five gooseneck, the fifth wheel rail adapter plate, as well as your spider fifth wheel rail to gooseneck hitch adapter. They are made of a very sturdy steel, and they've got a zinc finish that helps resist any corrosion.
You are going to get four of the pins and four of the clips. The clips, as you already know, just go on to the pins, like that, to make sure that they don't wiggle out and become loose.As far as our dimensions, they are a half inch in diameter. And our usable space from the portion where our clip goes out to where this bends is right about three and a half inches, about 3.56. So, keep that in mind; you'll have about three and a half inches of use there. It should be pretty standard for most of your fifth wheels and gooseneck adapters, especially with the Curt brand.

I reached out to Curt for clarification on this issue. Curt confirmed that they changed the design of the pins from the yellow zinc coating to a clear zinc with a sealer coat in order to increase corrosion resistance. Our product page is in the process of being updated.
