Question:
When I bought my trailer a Flagstaff 25FBLS weighing 5,400 lbs. dry weight my dealer put on the above subject WDH 4 dots on the bars. My trailers Gross Vehicle weight rating is 6,849 lbs. but I have only loaded it to 6,300 lbs. The tongue weight is 700 lbs. per the Sherline trailer tongue weight scale. I have concern that the sway bars I have may be too stiff for my trailer and may cause porposing or a bouncy trailer. I have tried chain links 9 through 11 and 9 allows the wheel well distance on the front of my truck to match what it was before the trailer was connected. My truck is a 2018 F-150 - 3.5L Ecoboost - 3.55 ratio rear end - Max tow package - FX4 - 20inch wheels - Supercrew Cab - Standard wheel base 6.5 - Max vehicle tow rating of 13,000 lbs. - Payload of 1,674 lbs. I want as stable of a tow as possible. Let me know if I need to get lower weight rated sway bars for my Blue Ox WDH. Thanks!

If you have a Blue Ox weight distribution system rated for up to 1,500 lb tongue weight and your actual tongue weight is 700 lbs you are most likely going to have a harsh ride quality. Keep in mind that the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the truck needs to count as tongue weight too. A better rated system for you would be the part # BXW1003 which has a tongue weight range of 750-1,000 lbs. For a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball to use with this we have the part # 19286 also.
