Question:
2015 Explorer interceptor utility Ive been looking into putting a hitch on my police explorer and am running into problems with the lights. Instead of a place to plug in the T type wiring theres one empty receptacle. Ive included a picture. The car appears to be wired for trailering. The fuses are there for trailer lights. It looks like I just need a pigtail to go from this plug to the hitch but I cant seem to find one.

There are many different wiring harnesses on Police Interceptors, and the photo you've attached is not a common fit for trailer wiring. I don't believe that harness is for your trailer wiring even though it looks similar. I've attached two other photos to show you what the harness should look like and the connection that you will be making. Notice the center section has a groove for the harness that has a the corresponding raised divider.
I've attached a video of the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # C56306 to assist. If you just want a 4-way trailer connection, you can use # 118540 which will install to that same harness under the vehicle on the passenger side.

Ok, get Jared E. some free stuff or something because he is a genius! Thank you Jared for solving a problem I couldn't figure out for months- you are absolutely right, there is the correct plug after you take that first one off. I'll now be purchasing what I need from Etrailer thanks to Jared!

I would just like to reply to Marc S. I just finished up my install on my 2015 interceptor utility and the connector he has pictured is correct. There is a connector on the wire already and that is why it looks like a female connector. There is a clip on it and that connector will remove revealing the correct end for the T connector. I then plugged that connector adapter that was taken off into the other end of the T connector wiring harness. Hope this helps with future inquiries.
