Comparing the Hot-Line LED Trailer Backup Light and GloLight LED Combination Trailer Tail Light

Question:

Im looking mainly to add backup lights to my utility trailer. These lights will be direct replacements for the original tail lights, with me just having to add the additional wiring for the backup light. Plus it would be a nice clean look. But Im wandering if a couple of the part# 328-003-6017W lights mounted vertically on the 2 inch steel angle next to rear gate would give me more light?

In regards to light output, the Hot-Line LED Trailer Backup Light part # 328-003-6017W will physically put out more light than the reverse light portion of the GloLight LED Combination Trailer Tail Light part # STL161RLB as it has twice as many diodes (12 vs 6). In order to run the reverse light circuit you can use part # 16-1-1 (per foot).

Question:

Ok, what about the STL60RB and STL60RLBP? They have 36 diodes for the backup light and it draws 0.328 amps, so it seems like they may be brighter than any of the other choices, plus upgrade the existing tail lights at the same time.

Correct, the Jeep-Style LED Combination Trailer Tail Lights part # STL60RB for passenger side and part # STL60RLBP for driver side have 36 diodes each in the backup light portion so they will produce more light than than the Hot-Line LED Trailer Backup Light part # 328-003-6017W in theory but we have not tested this nor do they provide a lumens output of each. However, generally speaking the more diodes present the brighter the light will bed in regards to LED's.
