AL-KO 6k Brake Assembly Recommendation with Offset 4 Bolt Mounting Pattern

Updated 01/09/2019 | Published 01/08/2019

Question:

good evening, i have 6000 pound al-co hayes axles and am in need of replacement electric brakes. they are 12x2 and the backing plates have 4 offset mounting holes. i either need a set of shoes and magnets round hockey puck style or i need to convert them over to dexter style axles.. the distance from the outside edge of the brake shoe to the backplane mounting point is different between the standard dexter backplane and the al-co hayes. that being said, i either need some brackets that i can weld on to the axles in place of the existing ones, or a set of inset dexter back planes

We have a set of brake assemblies fit to replace your 12 inch x 2 inch AL-KO electric brakes. The Dexter # 23-105-09 left-hand side, # 23-106-09 right-hand side. These brake assemblies are rated for 6,000 pounds per pair like your axle and have the offset 4 bolt mounting pattern.

The # 23-105-09 and # 23-106-09 will mount on either the 4-bolt AL-KO/Hayes or standard 5-bolt flange.
