1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at this Americana 15-inch by 6-inch galvanized spoke design steel trailer wheel with a six on 5-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is designed for use in marine applications like on your boat trailer. The wheel itself is a sturdy steel construction and it has the multi-spoke design to it. This does have a galvanized finish on the wheel and this will protect the wheel from rust and corrosion when you're unloading your boat in the water. Now the galvanized finish is not the best looking finish, but it is the best finish for protection.
The wheel is a high-quality wheel, does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. Now if you notice, this wheel does not include a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on a website. You do wanna get one that will have the same diameter as this pilot hole here. 'Cause when you install that center cap, it goes through the hole.
The diameter on this pilot hole is 4.27-inches. A few measurements on the wheel. The diameter we're gonna measure is measured inside to inside, and when you measure it, what you're measuring basically is the bead seats. In other words, when your tire is mounted on here, the beads of the tire are gonna seat right here. So the diameter is always gonna be measured bead seat to bead seat.
So again, if we take our tape measure and if we go inside to inside, there's your 15-inch diameter. The width will be the same way. It's gonna be bead seat to bead seat. So inside to inside. There's your 6-inch width.
Bolt pattern on this wheel is a six on 5-1/2-inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, that's an even number of lugs. It's pretty easy because your lug holes will line up exactly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick one of the holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this, it'll measure 5-1/2-inches. So that's gonna be a six on 5-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of 1/2-inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,830 pounds. Everything that Etrailer did everything that they said they was going to and on time. I have been dealing with Etrailer for sometime they have always been on point, The wheel is great as usual. The wheel was not been install yet.
The wheels I received looked nothing like the ones in the video.
The coating looks very sloppy and uneven, and has a very milky
and rough finish. Although I was offered a refund, the costs of
return shipping are hardly worth the effort, 100 bucks down the drain.

Rims came in, I mounted them on some new tires, my trailer is set for another 10 years.
The rims should hold up much better than the painted rims I replaced.

Exactly what I was looking for and I was able to get them in a week. These galvanized wheels will work well on my utility trailer and I wont have to worry about them rusting now.
Order #1, Wheel quality = very poor. Returned wheel.
Order #2, (arrived 3 weeks later) = very, very poor quality.
Returned wheel.
Customer service = very bad, very, very time consuming.
Refund required many, many contacts with etrailer.
Total time frame, order to refund = 7 weeks
Wheels were received pomptly when promiced... Ttires were mounted on them the very next day...
My new trailer is a work in progress and will not be completely finished for a few more weeks. It however, will certainly look sharp and rugged with its galvanized finish wheels.
Wheel has lumpy galvanized coating. Took to Costco to have tire installed and they couldn't install tire because of lumps in the bead area and would not warranty tire if it failed. Called customer service at etrailer and was on hold for 15 minutes and they wanted me to send pictures. They said they are backed up 3-5 days for RMA and out of new stock. I ordered replacement from [online]...
The RIM's surface are not smooth, but I'm very happy with etrailer customer service. I got updates on my order throughout the process until I received the product. I give a 4 stars because of customer service and subtract one star because the RIMs are not high quality as I expected. I would definitely buy more products from etrailer as I like their customer service.
So far the wheels are great. Heavy galvanized coating is preventing rust and the spikes allow me to rinse the disc brakes with fresh water. Very happy
Wheels appear to be of excellent quality. One small hiccup is the valve mounting surface. It is quite narrow, and the brass valve stems I bought won't fit. But the wheels came with rubber valve stems, so I guess all is OK

I bought this tire and rim as a spare for my boat trailer. Unfortunately, I did have to use it because I blew out a different tire. This set up was great. No issues taking it home for the last 50 miles of my trip. Good tire and rim combo.
The Americana Galvanized Spoke Trailer Wheel worked out very well. I referenced several manufacturers and this rim has an offset tire bead recess used when mounting/demounting the tire. This is the only type rim that can be used if the trailer is equipped with Disc Brakes! If a rim with a centered bead recess is installed, it WILL interfere with the caliper and grind it down. Case in point, because of a flat, I needed to install my spare tire (not knowing the rim had a centered bead recess) and it ground into the outer edge of my Tiedown Engineering G5 aluminum caliper, severely weakening it. It didn't fail however but compromised it enough that I felt it was not safe and replaced it.

Bought this rim and had a new tire installed to replace a blown tire on my boat trailer. After about 600 miles the tire started to go flat while towing on the Florida Turnpike. Luckily there was a nearby exit to get off and change tire. When I took the tire and rim to service center they said the valve stem was leaking! Could have been a very dangerous situation.
Rim is nice, but disappointing that a brand new valve stem would leak.
Rim and roller came in quickly. Chatted on line and tech helped with getting sku for just the rim without tire.
