Should Floor Jack be Used When Installing Rear Sway Bar on 2013 Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis
Updated 12/04/2018 | Published 12/03/2018 >
Question:
is it better or easier ,if I level the motorhome with its levelers, it is sitting on a level concrete pad now, for the install of the sway bar.? Will a floor jack be needed in either scenario? Thanking You in advance,

You'll want to use a floor jack to get the rear axle off the ground and then use jack stands to support the axle so that you have enough access to install the rear sway bar part # RM-1139-149. The leveler jacks should be relied on as the only way to hold the motorhome off the ground but I would lower them anyway to use as a backup for in case the jack stands fail. Motorhomes are incredibly heavy so getting under one to work on it in any way is dangerous. As many fail safes as you can use will be your best option.
I attached an install video for this bar for you to check out as well.
