Features to know about

Tighter Control Through Turns: 1-3/4" Front Bar Reduces Body Roll

Nothing unsettles a drive like feeling the front end lean through corners or shift when a gust hits. This 1-3/4" diameter Roadmaster front anti-sway bar ties the axle to the chassis to balance weight transfer and keep things level through curves and lane changes. Made from thick 4140 chromoly steel, it’s tougher than standard steel and resists flex, so the vehicle tracks straighter with less body roll.

Less Fatigue on Long Drives: Stable, Predictable Steering

Crosswinds and passing traffic don’t have to mean constant corrections at the wheel. By minimizing side-to-side sway, this front bar makes steering steadier and driving less tiring. The result is a level ride that keeps you confident and relaxed mile after mile.

Built to Last: Polyurethane Bushings and Heavy-Gauge Hardware

Instead of soft rubber that squishes out over time, this setup uses polyurethane bushings that hold up against oil, gas, and ozone. They keep their shape, maintaining tight, consistent support. The included heavy-gauge mounting hardware and thick chromoly bar combine for a durable system that keeps its strength and performance run after run.

Straightforward Install: Bolt-On Design, No Drilling Required

Getting stability shouldn’t mean tearing into your frame. This bar bolts directly to the axle and chassis using the supplied hardware and lubricant for the bushings—no drilling needed. It’s a clean, secure install that fits around most popular suspension add-ons and complements rear sway bars and steering stabilizers for a solid all-around setup.

This was installed along with new rear sway bar. This required a little more effort as it was not exactly a mounting match, it was ordered and was supposed to be but wasn't. The bushing brackets didn't line up to the axle mounting holes, they were offset about 1& 5/8 inch on center and caused the bushing to sit right on the curve of the sway bar. I had to make 2 adapted brackets to allow it to fit the axle mounting holes properly. It wasn't a big deal as I have machine shop and engineering back ground. It along with the rear vastly improved the sway and handling of the RV.

Haven't opened the stabilizer bars but I did open the Sumo Springs and the Snap Pads. All seemed to be there in good condition.

It helps quite a bit with wind control and passing trucks

by:

37' coach on a Ford Chassis. Our problems were anything over 55MPH this coach is a nightmare to drive. Installed the bigger sway bars, really nothing much changed. Added airbags to all 4 corners, night and day difference. Found out springs are at max rated load on coach. Wish I would have just swapped out for next higher rating spring then buying the sway bars. Quality is good, just did not help the coach like the airbags did.

by:

Before I installed the upgrade. I was about ready to sell my 2020 FR3. What a difference I was always white knuckled driving with a slight wind. NOT anymore. I would recomend anti-sway upgrade worth every penny. And easy to install.

The group at etrailer are absolutely great. UPS lost my order out of the box and delivered me an empty box. Called in to etrailer and they took care of the claim with UPS empty box was delivered on Wednesday I had a replacement on Saturday. Totally a five star service

Major improvement on handling

by:

The front sway bar improved stability on the motor home.
I’m having a Roadmaster rear sway bar installed today.

by:

I installed this in tandem with the Roadmaster rear anti sway bar and it made a huge difference in how my motorhome drives and tracks on the road. No more white knuckle driving.

What an improvement Jesse! Do you have any adventures planned?

by:

Sway bar installed easily and at least helped my Tiffin Allegro drive predictably now. I cannot say exactly how much because at the same time I installed a rear track bar and replaced all four shocks with Koni golds. Together the package made the rv drive much better eliminating side to side sway and porpoising.

by:

Definitely a big difference in the drive! I was expecting longer bolts that hold the sway bar.

by:

The part didn’t work, but they were helpful and helping me return it

by:

Each item I have added has helped I started with sumo springs then rear sway brace. Then koni shocks. I added a trac bar and front sway bar. It drives much better I forgot the steering stabilizer. And had the front end aligned each thing I added helped. It drives much better now but I have not towed with it yet that remains to be seen.

by:

Very happy with all the suspension parts I have received from them fast shipping . I will be ordering more from them in the future .

by:

received and installed the new Roadmaster part.

Bit extra effort solo, but completed in couple hours

by:

The antisway bar was a great investment. Between Etrailer'S videos and the packaged instructions, the installation was straight forward. Great product.

The difference after installing the Road Master antisway bar has been night and day. The motorhome handles so much better on the road and Im not so much exhausted at the end of the day after Driving. There is a huge difference during windy conditions and I hardly feel it when passed by semi-trucks.

by:

It survived the Alaskan (AlCan) highway in the summer of 2025!

by:

The replacement anti-sway bar works great. The motorhome doesn’t tilt as much in the wind. The motorhome is still a big sail and in high cross winds, I have to slow down. My normal speed is 60 mph for fuel economy. On a recent trip we were hit with extremely high winds and I had to get off the road for an hour. The wind eased up a bit and we continued on at 45 mph. But by reducing the lean, it was easier to control in the wind.

Sounds like it helped take away a lot of stress when driving your RV, Leslie. Sometimes adding in a rear sway bar can also help with driving in the wind even more, if you ever feel like maybe you want a little more support in that category.

by:

Got delivery in a timely manner. All items were as advertised and installation hardware was complete.
The Sumo Springs and heavy duty sway bars made a SIGNIFICANT difference in the ride and handling.
Would have no problem ordering from this company again. They were also very helpful and patient on the phone.

by:

You guys are 5 star, the product fit perfectly, with no issues. I can feel the difference on the test drive of my motorhome. I can drive with more confidence. thank you for all you do.

by:

This is night and day! We have a 2019 Newmar Bay Star Sport 2813, and we already had the supplemental rear bar, Safe-t-Steer and Koni Shocks. Nothing made the difference that this did! With the new sway bar our coach doesn't sway going down the road, and is at least 75% better on corners. Going out a driveway doesn't have the crazy see-sawing it had before!

My wife now likes riding in our motorhome, versus screaming about every corner before.

I'm sure all of you running the Ford F-53 chassis will have the same level of improvement!

Still working great! Im very happy with every Roadmaster product Ive purchased!

by:

Installation was 6/10 in difficulty only because of obstacles in the way of the top bolt on the passenger side end link. This was a step up to a 1 3/4" bar from the factory 1 1/2" bar. The end links were much beefier than the factory ones.
Initial test drive - I was impressed that the front roll on curvy roads was greatly decreased. This has been a significant improvement to driveability.

Super happy to hear that, Kevin! Thanks for including the photos, too. Would you have any tips or tricks for any future readers about how to get around the obstacle you mentioned?

Kevin B. profile picture

Kevin B.

6/21/2025

@BrookeM The air conditioner compressor, hoses, and hardlines were the obstacles. I may have saved some time and effort if if I had a right angle impact tool or maybe a wobble extension with a more compact impact gun, or even a fine tooth rachet. I was turning the upper endlink bolt one click at a time. My advice for any project, that I failed to follow this time... :(, is to dry run through the install to make sure you have what you need to do the job. You may have the right size sockets and wrenches but do they fit and effectively work in the space they need to? It's worth 10 or 15 minutes to do so and usually results in some new tools in your tool chest that you'll be thankful for on future projects.

This means the bars are stronger with much higher roll stiffness to combat sway, and their placement at the rear of the vehicle allows for the greatest improvement in handling.
