Can a 1999 Dodge Ram 4WD Automatic be Flat Towed

Ihave a 1999 dodge ram 4x4 auto can i flat tow behind my motor home putting transfer case in neutral and transmission in park?

From what I could find online it looks like your 1999 Dodge Ram 4WD Automatic can be flat towed if it is a 1500 or a 2500 and then also if it is a 3500 with a manual transfer case. You will need to verify in your owner's manual the exact procedure though for getting it ready to flat tow as I was unable to find an online version of your owner's manual.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you can let me know which model you have (1500/2500/3500) and if it is a sport or not I can make some recommendations for equipment that you can use.

So it is possible to tow a 2001 3500 Ram with Transfer Case in neutral and transmission in park ?

@Aldo From what I'm finding online it's okay as long as the truck is a 4WD. I recommend checking your copy of the owner's manual under "recreational towing" to make sure on your end as well.
