Are The Wheel and Tire Combinations Balanced Already?
Updated 06/15/2018 | Published 06/13/2018 >
Question:
i JUST PURCHASED 2 OF THESE FROM YOU FOR MY TRAILER. DO THESE TIRES and WHEELS COME BALANCED OR IS THERE ANY OTHER PRECAUTIONS i SHOULD BE AWARE OF PRIOR TO PUTTING THEM ON MY TRAILER?

Expert Reply:
The tire and wheel combos we carry are not machined balanced. The reason manufacturers do not balance their tires and wheel assemblies like the Karrier Tire and Wheel Combo # AM31991 is because a balanced tire and wheel is not very necessary on a trailer. They do not use drive or steering axles, so they are basically just supporting a vertical load and trailing a tow vehicle and balancing won't do much to improve that or necessarily make the ride more comfortable.
