Features to know about

Built to Handle Real Highway Miles: Load Range C with 81-mph Speed Rating

This combo is made for long drives and steady towing. The radial tire is Load Range C with a 6-ply rating and a maximum load of 1,360 lbs at 50 psi. It’s rated for up to 81 mph, so it holds up under heat and distance without breaking a sweat. The matching steel wheel is rated for 1,660 lbs and meets Department of Transportation specs, giving you a dependable setup for serious mileage.

Smooth, Steady Tracking at Speed: Radial Construction with Double Steel Belts

The Kenda Karrier special trailer radial design pairs double steel belts with full nylon plies for strong stability and long tread life. The computer-generated tread pattern helps it track straight in wet or dry conditions while reducing heat buildup during highway runs. It’s a design that keeps your trailer running smooth and stable mile after mile.

Corrosion Resistance that Lasts: White Powder-Coated Steel Wheel

The 13" diameter x 4-1/2" wide steel wheel fights rust with an e-coat primer and durable white powder coat finish. The classic 8-spoke design looks sharp while standing up to water, grime, and road salt over time. It’s built to stay bright and solid through years of use.

Ready to Mount and Go: Common 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern

Fitment is straightforward thanks to the standard 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, 0 offset, and 3.19" pilot diameter. Wheel bolts use a common 1/2"-20 size, so installation is quick and easy with most existing setups. The ST175/80R13 tire measures 24.1" in overall diameter and 7" in section width when inflated—compact dimensions that make it easy to line up with your current space.

Extra Peace of Mind: 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

Kenda backs this tire with a one-year worry-free guarantee—if it’s damaged within the first 12 months, they’ll replace it at no charge. Combined with a five-year tire warranty and limited one-year wheel coverage, it’s a setup built for confidence every time you roll out.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

The tires and rims have held up well. I put them on my two wheel car dolly and it rides nice and smooth while pulling cars. 13 inch wheel and tires are hard to find but etrailer had them so I could get my dolly back in use.

Worked great .put them on my RV trailer made two trips from Florida to Texas and back. Still look great. Thanks etrailer

by:

The tire and wheel package was exactly what I expected and the price was great. However I was extremely disappointed to receive tires that were more than a year and a half old. Todays tires are only last an average of 5-6 years before needing replacemnet so the cheaer price does not offset the useable life of purchasing local from a reputable dealer.

It's not unheard of for tires to arrive at our location that were manufactured a year or maybe more before we received them. These tires are manufactured overseas. After they are manufactured, they can sit in a warehouse for months until they're packed in a shipping container and ultimately loaded on a container ship and shipped to the US. The trip here and entry through US Customs can take several months, depending on how quickly they can get off-loaded and through Customs. The tires then sit in a warehouse in the US until we order and receive them. Tires that are stored in a warehouse under controlled conditions don't age or dry rot like tires that are exposed to the elements and UV radiation do. The fact that your tires were older than a year when you received them will not have any effect on their lifespan or durability. They should be good for up to 4-6 years, assuming they're not stored in direct sunlight, not overloaded, kept properly inflated and their speed rating isn't being exceeded. The product warranty begins at the date of purchase, not the date of manufacture. I hope that helps!

The Kendra Tires have been great. Your website was easy to use and quickly helped me determine the correct size for the trailer I have.

by:

I have had an excellent experience purchasing my trailer parts from etrailer.

by:

Everything was straight forward as advertised. Website gave all the information needed to make sure I ordered the correct size rim and lug nut spacing. Order arrived on time. Extremely pleased.

by:

Unfortunately, this tire has only approximately 1,000 miles of highway driving and is showing obvious signs of uneven wear. The tire is on a 5' x 8' utility trailer that was not overloaded and evenly weighted. I have the same tire on the other axle that has over 5,000 miles of highway driving and stills holds a much better tread/wear. I'm a bit dissappointed in this tire.

It sounds like you have covered most of the bases. There are additional reasons that the tire is experiencing uneven wear. Please see the link below to an FAQ that is helpful. If you would like to send a picture of the wear on the tire, I am happy to look into it further for you.

Bought as a spare for my trailer and have not had to use it yet

by:

Product was exactly as described, shipping was swift and free. Pricing is very competitive and actually better in some cases when compared to other sites. I would not hesitate to purchase from etrailer again.
The construction of the wheels and tires seems very solid. However, I am not able to offer a complete review of the product at this time, as the wheels were recently installed and have yet to be real world tested.

My first trip fishing with the new Karrier tires from eTrailer was yesterday 01-21-2012. Out of the box and installed on my trailer. The ride was very smooth! I really appreciate everyone that assisted me with my minor problems from the start. My Thanks to this great team including but not limited to: Katherine H., Lori B., Janice A., Rebecca N., Christy, John, & others.
Showing a couple shots of the tires on the trailer, limit of Crappie (30) & three of the biggest Crappie.

Bought 3 of these to replace 34 year old tires on my small travel trailer that I bought (always have an identical spare). Towed my trailer from Boston to Yellowstone and back on these. Very good ride and quality. Highly recommended

by:

Have only put a few hundred miles on them so far, but they seem like quality tires and rims. Order fulfillment and shipping was super quick -- faster than what was estimated when I ordered. I appreciated the quick delivery so I could put them on before a trip.

  • Can 12 inch Trailer Wheel and Tire be Replaced with 13 inch
Hey John, since you have a 5 lug 12 inch wheel currently and want to upgrade to a 13 inch wheel what you really only need to do is match the bolt pattern of what you have to the new wheel you are looking for. Most likely it's the very common 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern but the 13 inch size you mentioned isn't a standard trailer tire size so that would be a little concerning. The part # AM31951 most likely would work for you as this is a tire size of ST175/80R13 on a 13 inch wheel with...

  • Reason for Tire Wear on Motorcycle Trailer Tires
Hi Craig; are they the tires you got from us 6 years ago? If so, I expect it is simply the age of the tires. If they are newer tires then it could be several things. Overloading, surpassing the speed rating, flat spots, or even a bent axle/spindle can cause these problems. Is 45 psi the max psi listed on the tire? You always want to keep trailer tires at the max psi unless the manufacturer says otherwise. If you want to move to a 12" it is possible. The Karrier S-Trail Radial Trailer Tire...

Usually, a 175/70-13 is a passenger car tire. What you can do to verify is look at the tire again and if there is a number after the size, like 82Q, it is not a trailer tire. Trailer tires do not have this additional number, which is a load index and speed rating. The closest fit would be a 175/80-13.
