Recommended Trailer Wheels for Increased Frame Clearance on 8 Inch Wheels

Question:

Question about rim AM20023. On my trailer a regular golf car rim the tire hits on the frame. Does this rim have a shorter mounting distance on one side. My original rim does and has valve stem on both sides. This AM3H300 looks to be the same as my damaged one.

The Steel Trailer Wheel - 8" x 7" Rim - 4 on 4 - Galvanized Finish # AM20023 has the same wheel dimensions as the # AM3H300. These wheels do not have a valve stem on both sides, but only on the outside. They have zero offset, so the mounting surface is centered between the front and back.

For a thinner wheel and tire combination that will fit, I recommend the Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM30130. This tire will have a width of 5.9 inches when inflated to give you that extra clearance you need from your frame.
