Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2017 Chevy 2500 with Stable Loads

Updated 03/06/2018 | Published 03/05/2018

Question:

I have a 2017 Chevy 2500 with stable loads. We carry a truck camper and I would like to take some sag and sway out of the current setup. Would you recommend Timbrens or Air Bags. I know they have their pros and cons but would like expert advice. Thanks!

For your 2017 Chevy 2500, because you have stable loads and want to have a more stable support, I recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRCK25D. These springs won't change your ride when unloaded, but when loaded with your truck camper it will give you support and stability that will be superior to air suspension. They also require no adjustment or maintenance.

If you had constant adjustments, then I'd recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite # F2709 so you could adjust the desired amount for level transport. This is a better option for towing, but not quite as good for in-bed campers.
