Question:

Thanks for your answer. After I sent the question I was able to get a better look at the airbags and took these two pictures. When I noticed the lean I looked further and saw they were bolted to the frame so they leaned. Both sides look the same. We're they put in wrong? By the way I have bought and installed items from etrailer with no problems. However, these were installed by the dealer that sold me my camper. They sure are leaning but the brackets don't looked bent.

If one of the air spring brackets from the Firestone air spring system is bent on your Ford F-150, I definitely recommend replacing the bracket in question. They should not bend or lean as you mentioned your local dealer describing.

If you have the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2582 installed on your truck, the replacement frame bracket on the driver's side will be part # F5804, and for the passenger side you will use part # F5805. If you are needing to replace the upper bracket, you will use # F5806.

I spoke with my contact at Firestone and was able to show him the pictures you sent me (thank you!), so I could try and confirm what might be causing the brackets to lean that way. He did state that everything looks to be installed correctly. He says based on the pictures, the most likely cause for this is that the system bottomed out at some point. This is typically caused by the truck being overloaded or there not being enough air pressure in the bags (in correspondence to the weight being carried), or the system was simply run with 0 air pressure at one point in time. He does recommend that the brackets be replaced as soon as you are able.
