Why are there two different t-connector wiring kits for a 2017 escape?

There are 2 T-connector wiring harnesses for your 2017 Ford Escape, parts # HM40524 and # C56320. Basically, they serve the same purpose but are made by different companies. Part # HM40524 is made by Hopkins and # C56320 is made by Curt.
Between them both I recommend the Curt. Our installers here tend to have better luck with the Curt wiring products.
