Wiring for a trailer doesn’t have to mean cutting into your vehicle’s factory wires. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector plugs right into the factory tail light connectors. Very easy to install. The plugs are so easy to use vs splice connectors. I don't tow often so I store the plug inside. That works great, the plug to the trailer should last a lot longer that way.
After one year and many uses, the hitch and the wiring kit have performed flawlessly. Great fit and great company to deal with.
Great kit that’s very easy to install. Part of what made it so easy to install was the installation video made by etrailer. Super helpful. All the wiring is able to be hidden and tucked away for a clean installation. Worked perfectly.
I ordered the hitch and electrical harness together. Both arrived the very next day in perfect condition. Installation was completed the next day with assistance of a neighbor to help hold up the hitch while attaching the bolts on each side. All the rest went smooth and the hitch looks great! Very pleased at this point!
Works well. Plug/connector is a little tight to trailer plug. Routing the wire to battery is a little tricky. Wish it would connect to fuse block in the trunk
Ford Escape trailer wiring kit made trailer lights installation very easy, and it works great.

I love these plug and play wire harnesses . back in the day I had to splice into the factory wiring to wire up a 4 way flat plug. Today it is made easy. Came with good directions and easy to install.

The kit was pretty good, but I didn't use the cheesy butt splices, opting to use heat-shrink, waterproof ones. Instead of gluing the converter box on with the provided mounting tape, which doesn't last in my experience, I zip-tied it to the plastic hangers that hold the wire bundle leading to the left rear light assembly. Also, if I had it to do again, I'd check to see if suitable power for the powered converter box could be found at the fuse box in the right rear of the car--running the wire to the battery was a huge pain, and seems like overkill.
The instructions were missing a page. I was able to download a pdf, but it would have been nice if they had been complete.
Buy extra zip ties before you start. It takes a lit to secure the power wire.
Bottom line, this is a good kit. You won't regret getting this product.
did get the receiver on date that i was told.
box had holes in it that were the size of a softball , not the fault of etrailer. little paint missing.
i was happy they put the wiring in bigger box, so it did not fall out.
i think it was my 3 hitch off them.
one thing i figured out, put hitch on escape ,put the front in first and rolled it up in.
40-45 mins done,once i thought to roll it in.
wiring little bit longer,but all done.
Got the mostly hidden trailer hitch . Even though it was a bit harder to install I definitely feel it was worth it. I feel it looks better than the factory models! The lighting install went well also. All directions were very clear.
The UPS driver just delivered the package containing this order, which is a day earlier than it was scheduled. So I am well pleased with my experience with etrailer, basically from start to finish. Kaitlyn on the chat service was awesome; she steered me away from ordering the wrong harness for my vehicle and then sent me a link listing all of the harnesses available for my Ford Escape. Additionally, your prompt handling of my order was impressive, leading me to believe I am dealing with a company staffed by professionals. Thank you. and I will send a photo, probably tomorrow, of the installed harness. And of course, I gladly will recommend your company to others.
The wiring harness went in without any problems. The the instructions were clear and accurate, great product.
Wiring harness installed just fine. Took twice as long as putting the hitch on though as much to take apart. Video helped but my Escape had more accessory items wired in back than what video showed so took a bit longer. Hardest part was getting the module power wire up to battery in engine compartment. Would be nice if wire protector was included for going to flat connector at rear of car.
Product is perfect. Installation on a 2017 Escape is a pain, but generally straightforward. There is no way around that as the escape was not built with a factory harness trailer plug outlet. Have to run a separate power line to the battery under the hood. It’s all accurately outlined in the instructions and installation videos.
I have towed my utility trailer several times, and couldn’t be happier with the hitch. I was thinking about buying a pickup truck, but by installing the hitch, I got the hauling capacity I needed for a lot less money. I also plan to buy a cargo carrier for deer season so I don’t have to haul game inside my Escape

I was satisfied with shipping speed. Item was easy to install and is working as described. The video provided on etrailer site was very helpful in the installation, mainly because it showed how to install it on the make and model of my car. The video is the main reason I ordered from etrailer.

I have had no problems with the t connector. I did not connect the hot wire to the battery. I connected an old style cigarette lighter plug to the power wire along with the included fuse holder which I plug into the 12 volt power outlet in the storage area of my 2018 Ford Escape.This provides plenty of power to power the lights on my boat trailer which is all Leds. It would probably power about any trailers lights. I store it under the spare tire cover when not in use.

2017 Ford Escape. Self-installed in about 1 hour, works great with UHaul trailers.
I'M very happy that this was finally done by the VA. I can get around much easier with my wheelchair.

Great product and easy to install. Make sure you have a second hand because I installed the hitch solo and it was a B****!
