Handle Weekend Projects Without Welding or Drilling: Bolt-On Installation

The fully welded hitch bolts directly to your vehicle’s frame using the included hardware kit—no welding required. It lines up with factory holes for a straightforward install using basic tools in the driveway. The sturdy, square-tube design adds reliable strength without complicated modifications, so it’s ideal for those who like taking on DIY installs.

Keep It Looking Good: Matte Black Powder Coat Finish Hides Wear

Built from durable steel and finished with a matte black powder coat over a protective base layer, this hitch resists rust and corrosion while maintaining a rugged style. The matte texture hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than glossy coatings for a cleaner look even after heavy use. The concealed cross tube design keeps most of the hitch tucked underneath, leaving only the receiver visible for a cleaner appearance behind the vehicle.

You guys have a quality product! Instructions are easy to understand and my daughter and I installed it in a couple of hours. I made a couple of mistakes which made it longer. If I need anything else I will definitely use your company. Thank you.

by:

The UPS driver dropped it off last night at 9 PM all is good I hope so it is with the car dealer now they are going to install next week thank you

by:

Great product! Every time I need a hitch, I buy from Etrailer. The instructional video was great!

by:

Great hitch, bolted right up, installation video a big help, installed it by myself, and although it was difficult I recommend getting a helper, but it can be done

by:

Thanks to y'all's great video and instructions the install went wonderful.
Great job and great product.
Thanks

by:

Am extremely impressed and pleased with this product, the installation video, and speedy service!

by:

Great hitch receiver, fairly simple install. Definitely need two people. I watched the install video before starting and that was really helpful

by:

Fast, free shipping. Installation was easy with the video.

by:

Very solid and well constructed. Was actually worried before I did the install, your difficulty rating was a 9 out of 10 for this item but the installation went smooth with help of the installation videos that y'all included in the descriptions on this site.

by:

Came bent and is unusable

by:

The product was shipped and delivered in great time, arrived undamaged, all parts were provided.
The video was very helpful before installation. I watched it several times and made step-by-step notes.
Installation went as described. The wire bolt pulls are a great idea that worked well.

by:

This is a very high-quality product. I’m very glad I bought it. I had it installed this morning and everything went smoothly.
My new bike rack fit perfectly with it. I would highly recommend using this company as they were very communicative with me during my selection of the product and shipping etc. they truly have wonderful customer service.

Thanks etrailer...I got my order on time & all in great conditions, including shipping/packaging. I was surprised & impressed with your video instructions because I was able to installed myself. Once again thank you for your great services.
best regards

by:

So far, I like it! It's heavier than what we thought and I haven't put it on my car yet but hubby has and he's really liking how easy it was to get on my car! It is so much easier for me to get bike on it and lockdown!! I look forward to being able to get the bike on by myself and go riding!
The only drawback is I drive a Ford Escape, when the bikes are on, you can't let the back hatch open. The Escape's hatch goes lower so even with the tilt, the hatch hits the bike. It's not a deal breaker, my hubby is a very smart man so he'll figure out something to use that can protect the car hatch and bike for the occasional 'Ooops" !

by:

This product meet my expectations. Everything was packaged well with no damage during shipping. Watching the YouTube video in advance really made it easy to install. My brother and I had it under my 2013 escape se in under an hour. It fit perfectly with no issues with install. I highly recommend this hitch for all escape owners. I will definitely be shopping with etrailer in the future. Thanks for selling great products.

by:

I purchased the Class III hitch and harness for my 2017 Ford Escape. First thing I noticed was the quality of the product. I love supporting American businesses that take pride in their product. I watched the online installation videos that were very helpful. I installed the hitch and harness without issue. You will need an extra set of hands though, installation is a bit awkward for one person.

by:

Everything fits nice thanks for the assistance Kim, this is why I keep coming back to etrailer .

Working out great

by:

I've ordered 2 so far. Beefy construction of the part. Good welds. Painted well. Everything fit. I love this product.

by:

Hitch bolted right up. No pry bars or hammers required.

by:

I installed it in my driveway on ramps, by myself. I would suggest having an extra hand (the hitch is heavy). Everthing fit nice. I had some sharp edges,to be aware of. Otherwise all was good.

by:

The most difficult part of this was getting the hitch receiver up over the muffler and lined up with the holes. Everything else went pretty smoothly.

by:

Great product and easy to install. Make sure you have a second hand because I installed the hitch solo and it was a B****!

by:

Got here fast and I appreciate the whole easy process and being kept informed all along the way. Seems like a great product but only time will tell. Only complaint i have is UPS delivered it at the road instead of actually bringing it to my house. That's how packages get stolen. UPS doesn't care though. I understand this is not y'alls fault by any means I just hate UPS for this very reason. They are the worst carrier out here. Anyway thanks again y'all for an awesome purchase.

by:

Hitch fit perfectly. Shipping was very fast. It did however arrive with a very beat up box. I know that’s more shipping company rather than etrailer but still part of the process. Hitch was luckily still in fine shape. Used the video for assistance with the hitch install.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2014 Ford Escape Titanium
For your 2014 Ford Escape Titanium I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98866. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and a bolt-on installation. The only reason this wouldn't fit is if you already had a factory receiver in place. If you are wanting to replace the factory Class II hitch the only option would be the # 75782.
