It sounds to me like you are referring to a high-low adapter. A high-low adapter will attach to the RV's trailer hitch receiver and lower/raise the height at which the tow bar connects to the RV. Generally speaking, in order to find the correct high-low adapter you will first need to measure from the ground up to the center of the trailer hitch receiver opening and then from the ground up to the center of the base plate kit. The difference between these measurements will give you the correct amount of rise/drop you will want to look for in a high-low adapter.
It is recommended that from the ground to the center of your base plate is within 3" from the ground to the center of your trailer hitch receiver. I have attached an article that will further explain this process for you.
If you need to lower the trailer hitch receiver tube opening on your RV 4" then you will want to use the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars part # RM-048-4. If you need a different amount of rise/drop, I have attached a selection of all our high-low adapters for you as well.
