Question:
Hi, Im interested in purchasing this item: PWH2229SC A few questions: Could you verify it will work with a 2016 Toyota Highlander with tires 245/55R19? Do I need to purchase the extra tensioners? Whats the recommendation here? Do these come with a carrying case? If not, do you sell a case or a bag that would work with them?

According to the owner's manual for your 2016 Toyota Highlander, tire chains can only be installed on the front two tires and cannot be greater than 3 mm thick on the side chain and 4 mm thick on the cross chain.
The Glacier Twist Link Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners part # PWH2229SC will fit your 245/55-19 tires but have a side chain thickness of 5.9 mm and a cross chain thickness of 5.5 mm therefore, I cannot recommend you use these tire chains. Should you decide to use them anyway, you would not need any additional tensioners or tighteners to use them. I also went out to our warehouse and the above tire chains come in a burlap sack that is not resealable or idea for carrying therefore, I recommend using the Pewag Utility Tote Bag part # PW3 to transport and store them.
Unfortunately, none of our tire chain options are going to be inline with what the manufacturer recommends however, we have tested the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2324 on a similar 2017 Toyota Highlander with 245/55-19 tires and did not have any clearance issues in doing so (see video). The Titan Chain's have a link thickness of 3.7 mm (cross/side), will not require any additional tensioners or tighteners, and come with a very nice reusable plastic storage case.
