is there a cargo carrier that s to the ground for easy unloading that fits into a 2 inch receiver hitch?

Hey Michael, welcome back! The Benton MoveHitch 60x24 Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # B38VR you looked at does have a tilt away feature. This can help with loading/unloading, and also help clear a rear hatch.

The tilt mechanism is one of the features that really stands out the most on the MoveHitch. It uses a push button release so you don't have to try to align pins and balance the carrier while folding or tilting.

Nothing is going to tilt all the way to the ground unless you use a receiver with a drop. The carriers need to sit high enough so they have clearance and don't hit the ground while driving. It is also available without the cargo net # B86VR if you don't need it.

@MichaelF that is pretty hefty. If it doesn't seem like this would work the next best option is probably one with a ramp like the # EM34JV.

Does the carrier have to be empty before you tilt it down? I'm looking at this for our SUV and would like to be able to get into the hatch without unloading everything.

@JasonM the # B38VR can tilt down with cargo loaded, so you don't have to unload everything just to access the rear hatch. See the photo above. I would still check your specific vehicle for clearance since the size of the hatch and cargo you're carrying can make a difference.
