I need a base plate to tow a 1990 VW Vanagon Camper. Does such a fit exsist? Nothing says it will definitely fit. Any ideas?

For a base plate that is confirmed to fit your 1990 Volkswagen Vanagon, I recommend using the Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit part # 1208-1 as this is the only option we have for you at this time. You will also need a towbar compatible with the base plate kit and for that I recommend using the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520.
In order to flat tow this vehicle you will also want safety cables, tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and a possible high-low adapter. If you need any of these items please let me know and I would be glad to offer my recommendations for you.
