Question:
My old Dico Model 10 has 10,000# load and 800# tongue weight stamped on it. Is the T2478100 with its 12,000# rating a good replacement for that.

Expert Reply:
Absolutely, the brake actuator we have that most closely matches your gross trailer weight (GTW) of 10,000 lbs, is our Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator part # T2478100. If you do not wish to have a 3" drop for the hitch ball, you will want part # T2477600. The Titan actuator is rated for a gross trailer weight up to 12,500 lbs and will fit over a 3" wide trailer tongue.
If you are using disc brakes then you will need the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator w/ Electric Lockout part # T4750820.
