Which Demco Surge Disc Brake Actuator for Trailer that Weighs 12k

Surge brake actuator sizing? I need to replace my actuator. Fully loaded I am right at 12,000# Do I want a 12,500 or 15,000 # actuator?

If you are absolutely sure you'd never be over the 12k number you listed a 12.5k actuator like the Demco part # DM8104311 would work great. I really like how easy to use the EZ latch couplers are of the Demco actuators.

If you wanted extra capacity just for a little peace of mind Rick going with the higher rated Demco EZ Latch actuator part # DM8164311 would be a great option too. There's really no downside to having more capacity than needed also.
