Installing A Trailer Wiring Haness In A 2011 Acura RDX

Question:

I like to install trailer harness for this car. The instruction for Curt PN# 56008 said the relay may needed from dealer. is it true? How about the one from Tekonsha 118500? Dont this one need the relay? Thank for the answer.acura rdx 2011

For your 2011 Acura RDX, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 56008 may require an extra fuse to be added, but it does not require a dealer. You can see in the attached video of the 2015 model where that fuse is located under the hood of your vehicle in the fuse box. It was not needed in the 2009 model. The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118500 may also require this fuse and it is included with the harness.

This harness connects to your factory wiring found near your spare tire in the rear cargo area. Make sure you follow the order of the instructions for installation so fuses are installed last.
