Powered Landing Gear Option for Gooseneck Trailer
Updated 03/29/2017 | Published 03/28/2017 >
Question:
I am looking for a single weld on electric jack for a goose neck trailer, I believe the tongue weight is approx 3000 pounds, and could be a tad more. So something that will hold 5k would be okay.

For gooseneck trailers the only way you'll find a powered jack setup is to go with a landing gear setup. Landing gear mount on either side of the front of the trailer frame. Most likely your trailer has mounting tabs but even if it doesn't you could have them welded on.
The Ultra Fab Powered Landing Gear kit part # UF17-943010 is a very popular option that would work well. These have a combined 12k capacity which would make easy work of your 3,000 lb pin weight. You would want to take these to a fabricator nearby who can weld on the brackets.
