I have a 2013 Heartland Toyhauler, weight about 12,000 pounds, we added large solar panels on the roof thus have a large battery bank running across the front, adding an extra weight at 800 pounds. The factory 6000 pound jacks where having a difficult time lifting the trailer off the hitch, straining. These new jacks motor on each leg, no problems lifting, there rated at twice the load rating at 12,000 pounds. We removed the front cover section on the front of the 5th wheel in order to gain access to the jack locations. The Jacks fitted right in where the old ones went. I made up a small box to mount the two switches, with an long cord, that connect and sits in the side lockable basement storage. So no outside switches, added security, there no way to move the jacks, unless you unlock the side basement compartment, plus i added a master shut off switch so there's is no accidental activations. I going to be building a custom enclosed trailer this year, and i be using these jack, for sure.

Product has been outstanding for lifting performance. Jacks were easy to install and really like the ability to each jack powered separately. This gives you a small bit of flexibility in loading and leveling. Before both legs were tied together with a connecting rod and one under powered motor. One thing i do not like about the jacks are the length of the support tube. I have plenty of extension but they did not make any longer base tube. This makes the support while extended less stable and tend to move around a bit while with wind or movement in the trailer. So i utilize Jack stands to stabilize the trailer. Overall very happy with Jacks

Upgraded my 2008 Weekend Warrior LED 3505 to the Ultra-Fab and couldn't be happier! The original Venture landing gear was complete garbage and has failed 3 times now. The Ultra Fab landing gear lifts much faster and sounds better. Another positive thing is the storage space I gained over the generator from removing original erector set. Ultra-Fab landing gear is much more robust compared to the original. I'm completely pleased with etrailer.com and their awesome service. I've talked a friend of mine into upgrading his garbage gear to the Ultra-Fab from etrailer. It was a bit of work to install, but my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Thanks, etrailer!

Still going strong, so glad I upgraded so much better than the original system.

I purchased this product to replace the landing gear that had failed on my 5th wheel. I called around to a few other dealers and they were not very helpful. Ricky S. at e trailer was able to give me the product specs. that I needed and took my order that day. My product arrived one day earlier than expected. I installed the new landing gear myself and I must say that if you are a mechanical novice don't attempt yourself. This of course depends on your coach design. Mine is a toy hauler and the passenger side jack is right next to the generator. It was a challenge to get the old jack out and the new one end. However with that being said the new landing gear works as advertised and I am happy that I used e trailer to make these needed repairs.

I LOVE that there will no longer be a bar connecting the two jacks. It would have to be removed in order to service my generator. These new jacks are faster than what I replaced. The quality appears to be top notch. The notches on the jacks didn't line up the same as my old jacks. In fact the bottom ones got in the way of the bracket on the trailer. I made some modifications. I pounded the bottom notches back in (I shaved the edges with a grinder so it wouldn't get all mashed up). I spot welded the included new brackets in the location of the old jack notches so that the jacks would be mounted securely between the two brackets. Everything works great. I mounted the switches in the propane compartment so they are somewhat hidden. I also had to cut off a piece of the tube used for the old external manual jack lift that was in the way of the motor. In all it took longer than I thought it would but It's nice to take your time and do it right.

so far they have worked great. Doing the annual lubrication is a bit tricky lining up the inner zerk - but got it done.

Received items earlier than scheduled. Pretty easy to install. Went with RV switches instead. Sounds good and they move up and down with ease. Will do a update later for long term results. Believe it's a great investment. It's on a 2018 toy hauler 40ft. Factory legs barely worked it kept slipping going up .F.Y.I . they say the back up way is to remove motor on top to manually operate it.

I am very pleased with my purchase of Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set - 12,000 lbs rated. My 1985 Alpenlite 5th Wheel was designed and built for hand-crank front jacks, so it was a bit of a challenge to figure out how to replace them with the electric landing gear. Except for welding the mounting brackets to the trailer's frame, I did all the work myself, taking my time and checking my work as I went, following the very clear written instructions that came with the product. These jacks are built for strength and reliability and have the power to raise and lower the RV for hitching and unhitching quickly and easily, compared to the original hand-crank jacks. I like that each jack can be operated independently for ease in leveling.

The jacks arrived in three days with the free shipping option. That's great service. I just finished the install, and I am pleased with the jacks. The installation was fairly straightforward. The tabs on the jacks with the 13.5" spacing fit my existing brackets like a glove. That's one of the reasons I ordered these jacks. I've only used the jacks so far to pick the camper up off the jack stands I had it on while swapping the jacks, but they didn't seem to be straining in the least. My old Atwood single motor jack system struggled every time I used it. These are the only issues I had with my installation: 1. One of the grease zerks was broken out of the plastic motor housing when the jacks arrived. From reading other reviews, that appears to be a fairly common issue. I'll pick up a zerk with larger threads and take care of that. 2. Six of the eight wires were not long enough for me. It wasn't a big deal to pick up some wire and lengthen them, but if they had been 10 feet long instead of 7 feet long, the installation would have been a little easier. 3. When the jacks are fully retracted, the bottom tube (without the foot installed) is about 4-6 inches up inside the opening on the trailer. The jacks have 21 inches of stroke, so this shouldn't be a big deal. I'll just have 15-18 inches of stroke instead. I could remedy this by cutting the existing brackets off my trailer and welding on the provided brackets lower, but that is a lot of unnecessary work. All in all, this is a great product, and I look forward to using the jacks. The single motor Atwood jack that came on the trailer has been my greatest source of dissatisfaction since the day I bought the trailer. Thanks to Ultra-Fab and E-Trailer.

One year later these jacks are still working great. Raising my fifth wheel is no longer a stressful event. The fifth wheel manufacturers would be smart to install these jacks on new units instead of the crappy one motor jack systems. Thanks again to Ultra-Fab and ETrailer!

I completely removed the existing landing gear from my 2010 Trailblazer fifth wheel while still hooked up to my pick up truck. The landing gear completely failed while trying to hook up in Pacific City, Oregon. We had to buy two 2x4 s and c clamps from a local hardware store. We clamped across the two landing legs and using the truck jack managed to lift the trailer one block at a time to get the truck hooked up. I installed the new landing gear using the existing welded U brackets. They lift the trailer easily. I modified the existing switch hole in the trailer to accept the two switches adjacent to each other so I can hold both switches at the same time to lift and lower the trailer. I also had excellent service from E Trailer.

Excellent. Much better product than the factory installed. It also allows me to locally level the front of the trailer if only a slight adjustment is required

Straight forward installation. I used C channel to mount them in my enclosed Gooseneck. When shipped the motors did not work and the black plastic caps were cracked due to poor packaging from the manufacturer. They get used a few times a month and have worked so far. Sometimes the trailer has a little bit of a wobble to it but I think that might be due to the slack of the telescopic legs. Much better than hand cranking though!

These landing gear were used to replace the originals in my 1996 Hitchhiker. Even when the rig was not loaded the original jacks would not raise the rig enough to back the truck into the hitch. It does seem strange to me though that a remote isn't part of the package. The wire work and switches installation was a chore. Some kind of an exterior switch box install kit would enhance the set to a great degree. Overall a very good product for the price.

Comments
The landing gear jacks work perfectly. I still question why they do not come with either a wired or wireless remote. Such an item would have made a good product an excellent product.

2009 Heartland Razor Toy hauler. OEM Junk never lifted will and usually had to be plugged in or have the Generator Running to lift the 16K Trailer ( around 6K tongue weight) Removed the old junk. Installed these. The Original Tabs were almost exact as these. Used a little weld to secure things up. They lift the trailer without any difficulty. I wished I'd not waited until my old ones completely failed to replace them. These make camping worry free. They even work well without being plugged up to shore line.

These seemed to be very heavy duty and well made. They worked very well at raising and lowering the coach. But one time when I was pulling the truck out from under the fifth wheel, one of the drop channels was damaged. There was a slight bit of load still on the truck’s hitch, so it pulled the trailer ever so slightly against the jacks and actually tore the square channel metal. I’m disappointed the metal wasn’t tougher. I definitely couldn’t recommend these as “heavy duty” because of that. They’re still functional, but the damage is very visible. I would caution buyers that load be placed on these in the vertical direction ONLY.

I was sick and tired of hand jacking my 14000 pound trailer up off the truck so I decided to purchase these 5th wheel jacks. They work great! They mounted right up to my original jack mounts and with a little wiring were off and running! They arrived a day early and are plenty strong to lift even a very heavy trailer. Not sure how much tongue weight my trailer actually has but I'm happy with the power available with these jacks. I would definitely recommend these jacks to anyone looking for a strong reliable jacking system for their trailer.

- UF17-943010
by:

Besides an easy install the best aspect of these jacks are the fact they have individual electric motors. You ask, so what, I'll tell you when it comes to parking on uneven ground these jacks have a proven benefit. One can run each jack to the needed to support position. You don't need a bunch of blocks to support the jack that needs to be lowered farther than the one already at ground level.

The 20-year old, obsolete 15-tooth Atwood landing gear failed repeatedly in the 2 years since I bought the 22 foot 5th wheel camping trailer. The trailer had been raised for clearance on the Forest Service roads and the original jacks were just barely adequate when new; it was time for an upgrade. Although the trailer is only a 6,000 pound unit, I decided on the 12,000 pound rated gear because of the rough ground we often camp on and the individual operation of the legs, which really aids leveling. The UltraFab jacks are quality gear, excellent construction, fit and finish, complete with grease zerks. The wiring harness is proper, heavy 10 AWG and the weatherproof switches are solid. I cut out the old brackets and followed the instructions to position the jacks for the welder; it took less than an hour for him to weld in the brackets (though space was limited on my small camper). The end result was just what I hoped for; strong, solid support and NO MORE CRANKING!

Ordered then received gear in timely manner , looks to be very high quality . Installed gear in my Hartland Big Country 3250 my brackets were spaced 17.5 inches apart, the gears welded tabs were 19" it would have been very hard to cut my existing brackets off then reweld as they are inside the front storage compartment it was a simple fix as I welded 1.5" flat stock above the existing bottom welded tabs on the gear giving me the needed 17.5 spacing. WOW what an improvement , they raise my rig effortlessly very pleased.

  • Replacement Electric Landing Gear Recommendation for a 2006 Keystone Raptor
You most likely have Lippert 6k landing gear like the powered set part # LC333964 that is also 6k rated. Landing gear is rated for lifting capacity and not for overall trailer capacity. So the landing gear on your trailer could very easily be rated at 6k since most of the weight of the trailer will be over the wheels and not the jack. If you want a higher rated option, you can use the Reese Electric 5th Wheel Landing Gear Set # RP500708 or the Ultra-Fab # UF17-943010.

  • Recommended Landing Gear For 2009 Holiday Rambler Trailer
I would recommend replacing the landing gear you have on your 2009 Holiday Rambler with a new set like the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear, part # UF17-943010. This system has a combined weight capacity of 12,000-lbs and has a retracted height of 36 inches with an extended height of 74 inches. This system uses 12V power so there is no more hand cranking to raise and lower your trailer. Each jack has its own toggle switch so you are in control.

  • Recommended Dual Motor Landing Gear for 2007 Weekend Warrior Toy Hauler
For your 2007 Weekend Warrior 3505LE Toy Hauler, I recommend looking at the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010. These dual 12-volt motors will function independently of one another for simple and effective leveling. It has a lift of 38 inches and a combined weight capacity of 12,000 pounds. When it comes to trailer jacks or landing gear, I recommend always going with a product like this one that has more lifting capacity than what is actually needed. This will...

  • Recommended Dual-Motor Landing Gear
When installing a dual motor landing gear, the follower leg no longer exists because each side leg has a motor attached and adjusted individually. We do offer landing gear sets that have dual motors. I recommend the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set, part # UF17-943010. This system has a lift capacity of 12,000 lbs with a 38 inch lift. each motor has its own toggle switch to make leveling the trailer that much easier. For a system that has a 8,000 lb lift capacity, I recommend...

  • Is Welding Necessary to Install Ultra-Fab # UF17-943010 Landing Gear on Montana Big Sky 5th Wheel
Landing gear like the # UF17-943010 bolt into brackets that are welded to the frame of the fifth wheel. If the brackets from the existing landing gear can accommodate the 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 housing of the landing gear, and the existing brackets are in good condition, you can reuse them. If you do not have existing brackets, there's no way around it, the brackets included with the Ultra-Fab landing gear will need to be welded into place. They cannot be bolted, because the bolt heads would...

  • Replacement Powered Landing Gear for a 2003 Forrest River Cardinal 5th Wheel Trailer
Most landing gear sets install the same way, especially on newer 5th wheel trailers, so I am confident that Ultra-Fab landing gear # UF17-943010 will work well for you and fit in place of your old landing gear. This set is going to make things much easier on you because not only are they rated for a combined 12,000 pounds but it also has dual motors which makes it easier on the jacks. I have included a picture that shows all of the measurements for this landing gear set as well.

  • Dual-Motor Electric Landing Gear to Replace Fulton Landing Gear on a 5th Wheel Trailer
I did some checking and the Fulton line of landing gear was discontinued in 2000 and there are no longer any replacement parts listed for it. Since you need 2 motors anyway, now would be a great time to replace the landing gear. For a system that comes with 2 motors you can use # UF17-943010 rated for 12,000 pounds. The successor to the Fulton line is the Reese line # RP500708 rated for 8,000 pounds.

  • Troubleshooting Landing Gear that Clicks and Will Not Lower on 2006 Keystone Montana
The correct replacement landing gear legs are the Lippert Replacement Lead Leg for Kestone Montana 5th Wheel # LC178653 and the Replacement Follow Leg # LC178652. You mentioned that you've already replaced the motor and switch, # # LC217884, and the gear box # LG-179015. Since you've already replaced these components, it sounds like your landing gear is not getting enough power for the system to work. I recommend checking your trailer batteries to ensure they are fully charged. If the...
