Features to know about

Steadies Your Trailer Fast: Drop-Leg Jacks with 6-1/4" Travel

Setting up at camp or unloading gear feels solid when your trailer doesn’t rock or flex. These stabilizer jacks drop down quickly with a spring-loaded lever and fine-tune easily using the included steel handle. Each jack offers 18" of total height with 6-1/4" of drop leg travel, giving you quick control to level and steady your setup in seconds.

Stays Secure on Any Surface: Wide Footplates Add Grip and Balance

When you’re parked on uneven ground or soft soil, stability matters. Each jack uses a large 4" x 3-1/2" footplate that spreads out the load to prevent sinking and shifting. Once the legs are down, your trailer holds firm so you can move around without the side-to-side wobble that lighter supports allow.

Folds Up Clean for Travel: Swing-Away Design Saves Space

No need to remove or store these after every trip. The folding design lets the jacks swing up flat against the frame for transport, then swing down again when you’re ready to stabilize. It’s a compact setup that keeps everything tucked away but always ready to use.

Built Tough for Long Life: Steel Construction with Black Powder Coat

Rust, road grime, and weather are no match for these steel jacks. The sturdy build supports 1,000 lbs per jack with a lift capacity of 650 lbs, and the black powder coat finish helps resist corrosion season after season. Whether bolted or welded on, they’re designed to handle real-world use without bending or seizing up.

Simple DIY Mounting: Bolt-On or Weld-On Flexibility

You can mount these your way—bolt them directly through the 7/16" holes spaced 3" on center or weld them solid to the frame. With a compact bracket height of 11-1/2" retracted and just 18" extended, they’re easy to position wherever you need stable support for loading, unloading, or storage.

Much better than I was expecting. They shipped very quickly.
1 tip if you install with bolts,
You'll need to purchase them and to locate where to drill for the holes, use some tape on the steel location and use a Sharpie to draw out the hole locations. Be sure center punch and drill the hole dead center because there isn't much wiggle room.

Stabilizer jacks - 6-1/4" Drop Leg travel - 18".

They are being used on a home made happy jack system. Once queen size bed system is lowered onto the rv floor stabilizer jack's, now the happy jack lift system rails can be removed and able to walk around three sides of the bed. It works perfectly!
I live in Arizona, and the stabilizer Jack's shipped out of Las Vegas. Thanks for the quick shipping!

I'm using the jacks to level the tailgate on my trailer so it can be used as a deck. They are easy to adjust for terrain variations

The jacks still work great. On a scale of 1-5, 5 being highest, I still give it a 5 for functionality. I would give it a 3 for finish durability. Next year I will need to strip and repaint them....or for the cost, just replace them. They get a lot of attention as it allows my down gate to be a level deck.

by:

The foot on one stabilizer was bent when I took it out of the box.
After reading many reviews of how unreliable the footing are, I can understand why the lower reviews are given. Before I install the stabilizers, I cut the 1/16” thick footings off and installed thicker footings with a swivel

Not Worth the Hassle – Rusted, Unreliable, and Frustrating

I installed these stabilizers on my trailer about a year ago, and unfortunately, they’ve been nothing but trouble. They rusted quickly despite being relatively new, and one even failed on me during a camping trip — the internal spring broke, which left me stuck having to fix it on the go. Total nightmare.

Now, due to rust, one is seized and won’t retract properly. I’m in the process of replacing all of them. I do not recommend this product unless you’re planning to replace it within a season or two.

Look elsewhere for something more durable — especially if you camp regularly or store your trailer outdoors.

by:

the product is great. the shipping information was not very good. your notice said it would get here on friday, but the tracking said saturday. it was shipped USPS and was not here on time for my customer.

by:

Easy to install both in under an hour. Provide good stability to small (boat) trailer when deployed. I can see the paint/powder will be as durable as they were as simple to install

One year later and still loving them. No regrets with this purchase. Easy install, easy use and quality product

by:

nice quality prompt shipping

by:

I welded these onto the back of my small luggage trailer. They make good jacks when I take my wheels off for maintenance.

My luggage trailer weighs less than 650 pounds, so it's no problem and very convenient.

Also, if I have a tire blowout on the road, it would be easy to use them as a jack. All I would have to do is let them down.

Good buy for the price also.

by:

The product has not yet installed, but delivery was fast and customer service has been great.

by:

Ramp angle on the toy hauler was too steep for the Harley. Used these stabilizer jacks to support the ramp and now I can extend with an aluminum ramp. Having them attached is much better than a traditional jack stand.

by:

First of all these jacks did exactly as advertised. I have a small utility/camping trailer I wanted to stabilize better to help eliminate the trailer from rocking or sliding around. After mounting them they immediately improved the stability. If I wanted I could even raise the trailer wheels off the ground. I installed 1 pair underneath the back of the trailer. Install took less than 15 min.
The only negative of this design is the catch mechanism that holds the jack in the UP position. Returning from a camping trip a passing motorist informed me that one of the jacks were down. Luckily it was not damaged. Its possible it was rubbing on the trailer and wasn't able to fully lock UP. After a quick adjustment they have given me zero problems.

by:

They were easy to install.
Worked
good if used all the time.
Rusted shut over the winter and had to get un stuck

by:

Purchased a tandem axle 6X12 enclosed trailer and I wanted stability in the rear that would fit the clearance. These are perfect in every way.

by:

So far it is doing what it is suppose to be doing but I think I will need to keep an eye the rust.

Wow Roy, you take really great care of your trailer, I can see why you will be looking out for the rust. They should hold up great, let me know if you see anything otherwise =) What do you mainly use the trailer for?

by:

Excellent service. Product as described. Will do business with etrailer again..

by:

Perfect direct replacement for a 1977 Apache Cimarron.

by:

Have had these on my cargo camper conversion for a year now and they work and have held of well. They were easy to install with self tapping screws installed 3 to stabilize further than the single leg that came on the trailer

by:

The drop leg supports are just what I needed. It allows me to move around the trailer while it is empty and prevents it from tipping over. I am very happy with the purchase!

by:

Perfect fit for my 2003 Coleman Sedona Popup camper. feels sturdy and strong.

by:

Infinitely adjustable within their full range of extension, these are quick and simple to deploy, set to height, release, and stow. Compared to the set of stabilizers I had before with multiple pins to hold them in place, these are next level friction reduction on trailer setup.

by:

These work well and provide the stability I need on my little trailer. They are a bit hard to reach and release, but they never release unintentionally, and that is great.

by:

After removing my forever bent scissor jacks I put two on the back of my trailer... Rock solid!

I'm ordering another set for the front in 5 minutes

Couldn't be happier

by:

Easy to install on my trailer, Priced right, Worked as advertised, Shipped quickly and I would buy this item again.

by:

Purchased these to replace the ones on a 1990's vintage motorcycle-sized popup trailer. Underwhelmed by the much lighter weight (likely due to thinner steel being used) and much more "flexibility" (when trailer is supported by 3 of these, tripod style, it does NOT feel nearly as stable as before, as these flex side-to-side). Almost makes me consider sandblasting the old ones and getting them re-coated (I wish it was cost effective). Consider your application before using these as replacements.

  • Recommended Stabilizers For Ramp Door On Toyhauler
Hey Dayne, We do not offer any jacks that were made to be ramp door supports for toy haulers, but most of the time people will use stabilizing jacks # TJ01RT-HD mounted to the bottom of the ramp door. This will fold up pretty compactly when not in use, and can be folded down and adjust depending on the levelness of the terrain at your campsite. Do you normally camp at a campsite? or do you boondock?

  • Smallest Diameter Trailer Tire with At Least 1,800 Pounds Capacity and Parts for Building a Trailer
Assuming the trailer is as single axle and only has two tires the smallest we carry is a 205/75-14 size tire. The Kenda # AM10235 measures 26.3 inches in diameter and has a weight capacity of 2,200 pounds at 75 psi. You also want to make sure the wheel has enough capacity. If you can tell me your bolt pattern I can recommend a wheel as well.

  • Total Extended Length of TJ01RT-HD Stabilizer Jack
The fully extended length of the # TJ01RT-HD stabilizer jack would be 18 inches, which represents the 'A' Dimension in your photo. The 'B' dimension would simply be the height above the ground of the underside of your trailer when its level. The Atwood stabilizer jack is meant to hold up or stabilize the trailer, not lift it up off the ground.

  • Is There A Shorter Stabilizer Jack Than The 11-1/2" TJ01RT-HD?
Hey Tom, The etrailer stabilizer jacks # TJ01RT-HD are going to be the shortest that we have at 11-1/2" fully retracted. We do not carry any that are shorter than that. Now when they are retracted the are able to fold up for storage so they are not just sticking off of the trailer full time. Are you needing shorter due to clearance issues?
