You folks are great thanks for getting back to me I really appreciate it. However, my kayak is a 14.9 Scupper Pro not a small light kayak like in your video. My question is what if I cant lift the kayak over my head to place it in the J Hull A Port as you recommended? I see people load kayaks like mine by sliding them on to the roof from the rear of the vehicle. I drive a 2003 4 door Honda Civic. Thankyou!

My recommendation for getting your 14.9 Scupper Pro onto your roof rack is to use the Malone Channel Loader Kayak Load Assist # MAL48FR. This will allow you to easily load your kayak from the ground onto your vehicle roof by yourself. It uses a roller similar to a boat trailer to roll the kayak up onto your crossbars.
A side loading option to give you a pivot point is the Inno Kayak Lifter Load Assist # INA453 if you prefer a smaller load assist.
