Question:

Dear etrailer. I am having a hard time lifting my delta 14.5 kayak up on my Thule j racks that are mounted on my Prius. Will this Malone Assist connect to the Thule j racks? Thanks.

The Malone Telos kayak loading system # MPG351XL attaches in a specific way that is only compatible with the Malone J-style kayak carriers but I do have an option for you. You can use the Rhino-Rack universal load assist # RR-RUSL. It is compatible with the Thule AeroBlade bars you have on your Prius.

Basically you will rest one end of the kayak on the load assist so you only have to lift one side which will be about half the weight. I have linked a video showing how it works.

For a similar system that can stay attached to the roof rack you can use the Inno load assist # INA453. I have linked a video showing how it works as well.
