If you already have a 4 way connection on your 2008 Holiday Rambler Endeavor, then you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, # ETBC7 to connect an electric brake controller to your RV. This kit will use a current 4-way flat connection and will add the reverse, 12V power, and electric brake wiring. This kit will come with all the connections, the circuit breakers and the wire needed for most vehicles. For your application, additional wire may be needed and is sold by the foot, # 10-2-1.
For a 4 way connector, I recommend the Curt Circuit Protected Converter w/ SMT, # C56175. This will allow you to put a 4 way connection into your vehicle that will connect with the # ETBC7 brake controller kit. This harness includes a ModuLite that will protect your system from feedback. A power wire will need to be run to the battery with Primary Wire - 16-Gauge - White - per Foot, # DW02359-1.
For an electric brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195. This is a proportional brake controller that will use the same braking force on your trailer as is used in the towing vehicle. This controller has a very easy to read LCD screen that will take the guesswork out of diagnosing codes. It will run diagnostics continuously when connected and will also allow 3 different boost levels. It also allows for adjustments to your preferences.
