All right what we are going to do on this install is the reverse light lead to our electrical connector. For instance on a 5-pole you can use this on a boat trailer that has a reverse lock out for hydraulic brakes on it. Also you can use on a 7-pole application the trailer may have reverse lights on the back of it. Some RVs have a reverse light hook up on the back of it. I will show you the basic generic steps of how it is installed. 00:22
This step is optional, what is going to happen is we are actually going to hardwire to the reverse light lead, and then run it down to our reverse light lead on our 7-pole on the ETBC7. Most trailers do not have reverse lights, but if they do then this is what you have to do. Then you can route it down and around with the rest of the wire harness. Now we will run the wire from the brake lead down to our 4-pole, then we will go ahead and make our connections. We will go ahead and attach our lead for the reverse lights. Again this is optional if your trailer has no reverse lights, then you do not need to hook it up. That is going to our purple wire on our 7-pole kit. The red wire was from some scrap wire that we had lying around. Put some tape around that to protect it. 01:46

I think this video does not show nor state where the Reverse wire is coming from? Is it inside of the Cabin? Is it near the Tailgate? Doesn't even say how to test a wire to confirm its reverse, so not helpful.
