Question:
When I turn the the key on in the motor home the step go out any ideas it’s a 97 38 foot Georgie boy I also purchased kit Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit Item # LC379145 the only way I can get it to work is just the power and ground hooked up and when I put the yellow from the control unit to the the brown wire from the motohome together the steps retract take them apart and the steps go out and the magnetic door switch is not working

It sounds like you just need to figure out which wires are supposed to go where for the installation of the Kwikee Step Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit # LC379145 on your 1997 Georgie Boy.
I am attaching a wiring diagram for the control module for you to check out. If you take a look at the yellow wire it actually is meant to retract the step when it is connected to12V power. The brown wire needs to be connected to the door proximity switch, and the magnetic power switch is meant to keep the step in the "out" position so that it doesn't simply open and then close every time you open your door.
Make sure that you have your kit installed per the attached diagram and if it is still messing up let me know so I can help you troubleshoot further.
