Hey Im replacing the 7 blade plug in my 1998 tahoe. I bought a new hopkins #1200484085 but the wiring on my truck has some different colors. I have one light green and one dark, one yellow, one red, one blue, and a white wire. cant find anything on the functions of these

To replace your 7 blade plug, the colors of wire will vary sometimes even within the same model year vehicle. We will have to match function to function.
I recommend using a circuit tester, like the Quickee Circuit Tester # PTW2993, to test the function of each wire and then connect it to the proper location on your new 7-way connector. I've attached a picture for you to assist in connecting the right function to the corresponding pin on your 7-way.
