Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this performance tool, circuit tester. Now, this six to 12-volt tester is going to quickly check circuits and wire functions. This is designed for automotive electrical systems and it features an insulated piercing probe, as you can see right there. And then an alligator clip lead for secure hands-free testing, again, on six and 12-volt setups. And this insulated probe is going to safely pierce wire insulation for inline circuit testing.

And then the attached test lead includes this alligator clip for quick grounding. It is detachable as you can see. So this is gonna be ideal for diagnosing automotive wiring, fuses, and electrical functions. There is a clip here as well to put that in your pocket, but I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you.

  • Need Replacement For Factory 7-Way On 2005 Ford F-250
Hey Bob, thanks for reaching out. The best thing to do here will be for you to wire in a standard USCAR connector like part # 20147. This is the same plug that comes standard on most trucks and is likley what the previous owner cut off. Once you wire that in, you can add a new trailer socket like part # HM75MV. I'm afraid I don't have any diagram for your truck that tells which wires are which. What I would do it take a wire tester like part # PT72PJ or a volt meter and poke around and...

A few things to check would be to make sure that you are getting power to the jack leg that is not working with the remote. You can use a basic tester, like part # PT72PJ, to make sure that you are getting power to the jack. If you are, please check out the troubleshooting table in the picture below. If you have tried everything then it's possible you may need a new circuit...

  • All My Trailers are Wired Different than the 7 Way on My Vehicle, Is there an Adapter?
Hello Brian, I have a fix for you, but it is going to take a little work on your part as you will need to build your own adapter. This is what you will need: - 12 Gauge 7 Conductor Jacketed Wire - Per Foot # DW04914-1 sold by the foot, you can do it in one foot, you don't want it to be too long anyway. - 7-Way Round RV Style Trailer Connector - Trailer Side # A7WCB you will need to wire this end to how your Durango is wired. - Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV Blade-Style Trailer...
