Could Curt Hitch for 2003 Toyota Highlander be Used to Transport Motorcycles

Question:

I have a 2003 highlander limited. I want to install this hitch on my vehicle. However, I am not familiar with tongue weight. I am looking to buy a motor cycle rack that runs like a bike rack would parallel to the trunk door. Is this rack able to hold a motorcycle ranging 200-350 pounds? How about a rack potentially holding two dirt bikes equaling potentially 600lbs? Thanks

The Curt trailer hitch part # C13429 has a tongue weight rating of 350 lbs. That wouldn't be enough for carrying either motorcycle carrier configuration you mentioned. It would work well to tow a small trailer with your motorcycles loaded though.

Some vehicles just have higher trailer hitch capacities than others. Typically it has to be a larger SUV or truck to have enough capacity for a motorcycle carrier.
