Question:
I have an older Calkins boat trailer with 530 x 12 tires I need to replace the bearings and the trailer is at the lake. I wonder if you could save me a two hour drive by telling me what size bearings and grease seals are needed. Thanks

Oh how we wish, almost every day, that all trailer makers maintained detailed records of the components used in the fabrication of their trailers, but sadly, we do not live in that world. So, you will need to pull a wheel and hub, and check the numbers on the bearings and grease seal. I linked a photo that shows the typical placement and appearance of bearing and seal part numbers.
With those part numbers in hand you can directly check our site for those parts by entering each number in our search field.
We offer individual bearings, races, seals, grease, etc., and we also have kits of the most popular bearings already put together with races and a seal, such as bearing kit # BK2-100. This kit consists of bearings # L44649 and # L68149. their matching races, a double-lip grease seal 10-19 and a cotter pin and tang washer.
You will want to use marine-grade wheel bearing grease # L54FR and a bearing packer like # L70025 when you re-pack your bearings. I linked an article and video to help you with this process.
