Availability of Electric Trailer Drum Brake Assemblies that have Parking Brakes

Question:

Hello, I recently picked up a Canadian military 1/4 ton trailer CDN M101 with standard hand operated parking brake drum type. I am modifying the trailer for off road use and would like to upgrade the entire axle/brake assembly. I want to add electric brakes, but do really like the parking brake that is currently on the trailer. I read online somewhere that Dexter offers an electric brake equipped axle WITH a cable actuated parking brake as well. The current axle and the new one I plan to purchase is a 3500b axle. If you can point me in the right direction thatd be great. Thanks

The only Dexter brake assemblies we offer with parking brakes are for 6k axles. For that you would need part # 23-112 and # 23-113.

If your trailer has 12 inch drums on it already and the mounting flanges for brakes on the spindle have a 5 bolt pattern then these assemblies would fit.
